All I  came in the topic to say is topics like these are SO DUMB. Wow is NOT  a brilliant game. It's only brilliant if your gear is up to date with everyone elses. Otherwise, you suck. Which getting that gear can take months ESPECIALLY if you aren't in a great raiding guild. Then, you have to deal with drama every night from people that are raiding with you. You get on ventrilo and talk with everyone and raid with them. Deaths here and there followed by yelling at the priest.......World Of Warcraft is for carebears. Let's go grind some more and go get better gear so we can look cool because wow takes no skill. If you got the best gear you'll win regardless.

 

 

Warhammer it's about leveling. Something you can do by pvping only, OMGZORS. You can buy renown gear etc... and you'll be pretty equal with the guys around your level. You fight based on ur skill and if you lose, it's because you need to do something better or worse. Either that or there's no way to beat the other class you lost to 1 on 1. Warhammer is fun because it takes skill and it's all about PVP!

 

Warhammer and Wow shouldn't be compared anymore. 1 is way too gear based and the other is all about pvp action. It really depends on which kind of gameplay you like. If you like looking pretty and having the best gear, go play world of warcraft. If you like pvp action and having clans that want to fight 24/7, go warhammer. I'm a lineage 2 player going on 3 years now. I love pvp on lineage 2. I loved wow open beta because of the world pvp. So, you can understand why I love Warhammer. It grew on me.

 

Oh and one last thing. Warhammer made me resubscribe to wow. When I did last week, I logged off of wow 10 minutes later. I've done everything there is to do on wow for the most part. It's all repeating bullshit. I got bored after 10 minutes and logged off. Wow is boring to me.

HMM So hows that counterstrike and L2 doing for ya?

I am a ex wow player and this game may be a little buggy but this stuff will get fixed. Hey there!  So i thought i would give this a try and created a account and thought i'll go on mul-rehan,  now i cant log on cause its premium.  I cant change servers either it seems??!  anyone have any ideas how to do this? I would think it would be simple... what am i missing?

Hello all, i have a few questions about WAR,  here it goes

~ Is there a open world?  (like say VG?)

~ Are the invis walls? 

~ Is the world large?

~ I heard its RvR, but can i go to a enemy side and atk someone of the opposing faction? (like WoW) or does all pvp take place in a special zone or instance?

~ Weather effects? doest it rain/snow?

Any comments would be great!!

The avatar ,combat animation, and gfx complain is something i cant fathom.  I run everything very close to maxed out but the world looks amazing!  I know there is a matter of  taste involved here but it nearly looks like something you might see in RL. If your rural that is...  As far as the avatars... i played EQ, DAoC, Planetside, Ryzom, WoW D&L, Those char. models cant even come close, i mean how much better can they get?  Combat animation...on my DK i have a bunch of different amaimations, there the best i've ever seen in a game, my disc, looks un-real i just dont get it, or where the complaints come from...

I already did, it is fantastic, and better than all the pve mmos out there now :)

Im playing VG and WoW atm, VG for PVE and WoW for pvp.  Like many otheres have said the world of Vg is amazing, they have fixed a HUGE amount of bugs/issues that kept this game down.  The trial island is coming soon for Vanguard so perhaps give it a crack then though you can find copys of it for like 10$ i hear.  If they ever figure out how to incorperate pvp into the existing game, like just having warcrafts overworld pvp system (not BG's)  i think there would be many more people playing this game.  I wonder what would be the sides....

Jesus Christ, I've never, ever seen a game where people had such a woody for their "old friends." NORMAL people get NEW ones in a VIDEO GAME.

i was playing with my RL friends, which is what i prefer being i know there cool.  See i have RL friends......

I have come back to this game more times than any other, and leave faster than any other too.  After the beginning noob experience it just so lonley (all my old friends are long gone).  Then i start thinking why am i bothering its gonna be shut down soon anyhow prolly;  rubberband some get shot through a wall, see 10 npcs piled in a corner of a starport and its over for me.  I think its more the lack of friends there tough,,,,,

EQ gfx and game play dated by todays standards? hmmm

My hitching is even less, theres lots of people back and they seem to be having a good time.  Please remember there is a few bugs still, but Nothing like before.  And since SOE took over its been all improvement.   I love the combat, the variation in classes, races, chopping down trees :) , the dynamic weather!!!!

Ya its not a huge deal, after ita all loaded were good, and no game looks as good, the chunk loading for me seems better than normal.  It usually takes like 3 sec, sometimes its fastenough i think it was a slight hitch lol

Ive been loving this game and performance is always improving but when it needs to load something im brought to my knees.  stuff like Veskals, something of that size or bigger. Out running around its still like 60-80fps though so i dont really care BUT any ideas?
