Usually when you get banned from games the email will tell you why.

Contact their customer support (assuming they reply) as only they will be able to tell you.

Huh? I'm pretty sure most first episodes are called "pilots". IIRC, first episodes of both Psych and Fringe were titled 'Pilot' as well.

Maybe im wrong, always though the pilot was used to sell the show, so to speak.  You might be right though since they never had to sell the show.  I was told the first episode on monday is like 45min but again, internet info is less than accurate.

It's on for 2 hours on TV including commercials. Starts at 9 here in the UK and ends at 11.

Do you know if they're releasing a 2GB version? At £120 in the UK there doesn't seem much point in buying the 1GB version that's being listed seeing as you can get a 1GB 7850 for the same price, which is significantly faster going by the benches so far. The only use i can see it being worth that price is in a small form factor or HTPC when trying to keep power consumption down.

Edit - nevermind apparently AMD decided to replace the 1GB 7850 with this, only the 2GB 7850's are being made now. Once current stocks of the 1GB version are gone the slower 7790 will be the only £120 card.

You are right in that he has it going the wrong way to make sense. It won't be adding much to the case ambient temp though as the air that comes out of the H80i is barely higher in temp than goes in, it's only a couple of degrees difference and is much better in that regard than air coolers. Good chance it's messing with the airflow in the case though with it pulling in.

Definately knows his stuff, without him this section wouldn't get anywhere near as reliable advise as it does. He does have a habit of giving too much info and often looking at numbers rather than real world performance and effects in game with some things, but no one is perfect.

I'm surprised he hasn't been made a mod yet tbh, even if only for the hardware section.

Have you got a free small PCI (not PCIe) slot at the bottom of the motherboard? The Xonar DG goes in one of those and is quite small if space is an issue. Just had a look in my case and height wise it's a couple of centimetres (basically as high as the capacitors), length wise its just over half as long as my 7950. Site says 17cm x 6.4cm for the PCB.

Edit - i know it sounds like i'm pushing you to get a sound card but i truly feel you'll be missing out on the sound that the PC 360 headset is capable of without one, especially when it's only £20 or $30 if you're in the US and you've spent so much on the headset itself.

Which corsair fans are they on the front of the case? I assume they're just generic ones aye?

Perhaps change them for something like the Corsair SP120's or if you can fit 200mm on there Coolermaster Megaflow, then get everything hooked up to a fan controller. Controllers are cheap and will likely cost you less than the fans.

I'm using the SP120's atm, 2 on the front, 1 rear and 1 top and i can barely hear them. Bear in mind that a fan controller makes all the difference for sound.

Are you running them through your motherboard's onboard sound or through a sound card? They will sound much better with a sound card. If you don't want to spend much then something like the Xonar DG/DGX (DG is the PCI slot version and DGX PCIe version, same cards other than that) for £20-30 would be ideal. The headphone socket on it has an amplifier, your case front panel socket is amped if you plug it into the card too, and the software has Dolby Headphone for surround.

Your old G35 headset was USB so it wouldn't have used a sound card even if you had one, USB sets have their own amp built in albeit not very good.

If you haven't already bought them Seinheiser have just refreshed both the 350 and 360 headsets with the 350SE and the 363SE.

Sadly i doubt it means anything for the MMO, they've been content letting it rot until now and i can't see that changing.

Maybe for the same reason we don't all use paper plates, cardboard boxes instead of coffee tables etc. It's nice to buy something well made :)

Tell him to do a clean install. Uninstall the current ones, boot to safe mode and run Driver Sweeper making sure the AMD boxes are ticked. Reboot into windows normally and install them again.

Tbh the display going black and then coming back on was likely the drivers crashing in the first place, happens all the time with mine but usually when im OC'ing and benching. If the new drivers don't work after a clean install tell him to try underclocking the card and see how it gets on, if it works fine underclocked then i'd say it's time to return it for a replacement.

No OC. He used MSI afterburner, after the game turned black, he Ctrl+alt+del then "end task" the game, then he looked at msi afterburner and see that the Highest GPU temp is 65.

If the GPU stops doing work when the screen goes black, then the temperature could easily have fallen precipitously between the time that the screen went black and he was able to see the temperature.

But you're saying that he could check the GPU temperature after the screen went black?  So it's only the game window that went black, and it wasn't basically a full system crash?  That's a very different symptom from locking up the system entirely, which is what I thought from the title.

He's using MSI afterburner, it records the highest temp the card has hit since the PC was last started not just the current one. If it reports 65C as max then his card is not overheating, not even in the slightest.
