Just to put my 2 cents in, In my 8 years of Mmo's , I have never had any account compromised also I have never bought gaming currency, never used leveling services and never used any mods and I have zero , I mean zero protection on my pc ( other then common sence ) . Sounds like Op's friend ( possibly op ) has tried to bend the rules a lil .

After download and installation, if the control center opens and gets placed on my task bar, does that mean it was a success ?

Yup , I did that and it gives me the driver thats outdated, keep in mind I'm partially retarded so I wouldn't be surprised if I am overlooking something.

I been racking my brain out trying to update my drivers, I can download and go through the install process but the Dxdiag is still showing older drivers. I tried removing the older ones and also even reinstalled windows. when no driver was present and I clicked on the newest one, The older driver was put in. Any suggestions  ??

The first hour ( well was ) is very crucial for me. From the time I create a character to when I hear the entrance music and so forth is huge for me. Although now adays I will not preorder or buy a mmo at release, I just read the reviews and hopefully be able to test out a trial before I consider it.

The last mmo to captivate me was back in 2002 when I came across Lineage 1. It was like just what I was looking for at the time and I spent quite a bit of time in there and overall just enjoying the general feel of the game.

Nothing on the horizon looks like it will be able to hold my attention much less grab me within the first hour,hopefully I'm wrong. I'm actually going to purchase and xbox or ps3 and go back to my roots, so many good console games out and coming.

I agree with you Speed, I am from the Eq and Lineage 1 days, those were some good times but todays generation is the insta gratification, I only have 2 hours to play type crowd and it's only going to get worse.They should put warning labels on the box or direct download " This game requires massive amounts of time and investment, in some cases may even require you to think "

We have to constantly hear about how games are not being targeted to more hardcore pvp players. There is finally a game that is targeted toward hardcore pvp players.

The mission log will tell you what materials you need, gather those and then craft the amplifiers. I think you need to train in melee lvl 2 and train in the plans for amplifiers as well.

Yea there is something wrong. I reinstalled the game and even made a new race, the only available tutorial is the one towards the end. Nothing to teach me basics on flying etc .

There were some to reset, so I did that and restarted the game, still no luck. The tutorial agent wants to carry on where I left off but I havent done anything yet.

I seem to have a problem, isnt there supposed to be a tutorial on the basics of flying ?   only thing I was shown was info on skills and implants.

Great info,think I'll make a new character.  Yea I'm gonna focus on missions, make a whole bunch of isk and hopefully at somepoint maybe deckout a couple of cruisers. I'm still reading up on the ships, so still clueless.  Logistics ships seem kool.

Thxs, thats some good stuff there.  Now to learn the skills faster should I boost Int/Per ?  also is there a way to counter warp scramblers ?   I figure once I get some higher level missions, escape would be a better option if someone was to gank me,maybe somekind of stealthship, I don't know hehe .

What ship would be ideal to run missions and what primary skills/attributes should be invested into? like intelligence, charisma  etc

Is there somewhere I can view a tree of all ths skills ?

I have one question, Is there a inspect option of another player?     This was one of the few things that I strongly disliked in WoW.
