Racial Stereotype Stats?

I believe the concept you have is comical in its own sense, but I can see others hopping on the post as an picking it apart based on the racial stats there.  Other than that... how do you fit in PvP since it seems every MMO has to have it in there to be considered "good"?

Paperclip wars?

Jumpgate is the only MMO in development that actually has my attention.  They seem to be approaching the various elements with tact and careful planning.  Visually stunning, and action packed space MMO that doesn't require a pillow as a prerequisette.

Now I'm just hoping to get into beta to one: get a jump start on what I am to look forward to here soon and two: start testing the bugs to hope for a polished and smooth launch and perhaps even on time!

Thanks for the read.

Was interested until I found out it was an item mall game.  Just never found those to be my taste.

Set a goal.

In my corp, The House of Marek, we are a roleplaying corp that focuses on the Ammatar faction and works around those aspects.  Aside from roleplaying (which really is our bread and butter) we have tried to be everything but found for a small corp that it was far to difficult to accomplish anything that way.  We have just recently revitalized our operations and have begun to focus on one singular aspect.  We set a goal.

The biggest thing I could suggest for you is to set a goal, whether that be to corner a certain trade market, open up a courier service, build and sustain a POS.  EVE is more about the planning aspects, more so than pure action. It's possible that in the end EVE may not be the MMO for you.  It really caters to a certain market, and if you can find your niche within EVE your golden.

Set a goal, accomplish it... then set another.

no! screw nc soft using cash shops, just offer a SOE style gameplay plan, like 20-25$/mo for DR/extra guild wars stuff/l2 stuff /TR/bring back auto assault/ and cox. i would be so in.

Easily.  Unfortunately I wouldn't play it due to the kind of community it would garner, but it would be nice to see the title live on.

On the other hand I would love to see what "taste" had mentioned.

I agree.

Tabula Rasa and Auto Assault.  Two games that truly had worthy potential and were different.  Rather than having a diverse model and something along the lines of a Station Pass, you just let these titles die.  I suppose NCSoft will only continue to divert its resources to MMO's that are either making TOP dollar or are popular to the eastern masses.

Either way, have a good one TR.

I knew it was coming but didn't want to admit it.  So long TR.

MARK JACOBS, your maybe sympathic no doubt, but you failed as Development Leader because your not leading, your discussing to much with your employees.

One day you Patch 1.0.5 then next day you dont patch. Other day you Nerf heals next day you leave them as they are. your confusing your playerbase and thats UNPROFESSIONAL.

Just shut your mouth until you are 100% sure what will happen. Dont go to VNboards and throw Rumors around the internet like a little boy.

(no native english, forgive me)

This is one of the reasons why I left personally.  With so much talk about the healing "nerfs" and that I being a healer myself I wasn't going to continue playing.  Now they are backpeddling after receiving so much criticism about it.  Problem is its too late... I already resubbed back to EVE and don't plan on going back because I can't trust where WAR is going.

I don't believe they have their priorities straight right now and it shows.  How do you go and make massive class changes and buffs without even having all of the intended skill working 100% with one another?  You don't even know your full potential because it isn't fully working.  I say fix everything the way it was supposed to be and THEN go from there.  Otherwise we are going to continue to see rebalancing, tweaking, and fixing further.

First word of advice is its "Engineer" not "Angineer".

Second, engineers are getting a good overhaul with the upcoming 1.0.6 patch as far as I know.  Otherwise they are a unique and challenging class.  Be prepared to die alot, but if you do as you should and stand back and cherry pick your targets you can actually do quite well.

Edit: Glad you caught that one :)

Well it all looks good and is quite impressive at the state its in at the moment.  I guess when I looked at it, all I saw was a shooter.  I didn't see the "massive" portion nor did I see anything element that could be considered "RPG"

Once they open up that information  I may feel a little more open to this title, but right now it just looks like UT4.

Like, really, have they lost their innovation or something? The only aspect I like about the xpac is inscription.

Problem is I don't believe they ever innovated in the first place.  They perfected old ideas and made that model new and fun again for some.  Problem is after 4 years alot of people who are buying the expansions as they are meant for those who made it to the under rungs of the game... want something new.  Adding more of the same is fine if you leave that to maybe 25% - 35% of the expansion for comfort, but for a game to live beyond its veteran playerbase, you have to give them new toys to play with.

My toddler hardly uses the same toy over and over and over again without getting bored.  He always needs something else to keep him busy or interested.

Well as much as I would have liked to see him actually finish the product he released, I guess overall this is really nothing to get upset over.  I would have been more concerned if he was actually concentrating and focusing on his project Tabula Rasa... but with his trip to space I am sure he hasn't been focusing on the game for some time.

Oh well I guess we'll never see TR's true potential and it's hype lived up to where it "could" have been.  Good luck in your pursuits Garriott.

Was a little disappointed to not see anything other than a folder with some screenshots.  "Sounds" good from what was said, just would have liked to "See" something a little more concrete.

Maybe next time?

WAR is my best suggestion.  It is the only game that truly pushes one towards grouping as it is needed to play the more PvP oriented portions of it.  While you can go solo, or go guildless... it truly isn't ideal to do so.  I have played quite a few MMO's and so far this is the only one that I have grouped the most in, and most discouraged playing solo.

PVP centered game is just for the niche crowd who like that sort of thing.

1. Pve lacks big time. Too easy and PQs are nothing more than killing a mass of mobs for a chance at loot. No depth to the pve, the lore of the game is poorly told and the loot is nothing to brag about.

2. Faction imbalance is a major problem especially when your game is centered around RVR. Open RVR  is almost non-existant now because of this. Destruction is clearly the dominate faction which steamrolls over Order almost all the time.

When I played I wasn't expecting a WOW type game but clearly there is no creativity, the classes are done poorly as well as the combat. This game has clearly been way overhyped. Perhaps someday I will return but they really need to do alot of fixing before I even consider coming back to try it.

Yes your right, WAR is a PvP game for a PvP crowd.

1) The lore is presented very well through the PvE quests and the style in which they built it.  If you have honestly read every block of text for every quest, you wouldn't be saying this.  Playing my DoK... I picked up so much on the dynamics of the dark elf society, their Houses and hatred.  Read... thats where the lore is.

2) ORvR is not "non-existant" and if you feel that way your not looking to trying hard enough.  Its not hard to pull together a band of people to go out and start something.  Soon enough people come to fight back.  Just this night I was in a massive battle (one of many) in T2 mind you.  Minimum of a full warband one both sides.  It was fun, though I had my ass handed to me.

The classes are not poorly done, but they would feel that way if you were used to your sterotypical classes.  They made classes interesting and unique, they function differently and have a different feel.  The game was not overhyped, at least not by the company itself.  They made no references to it being the "steak" of MMO's.  Everything on the box was delivered.

They have alot yet to tweak and adjust, but sometimes I get a feeling people just like to bitch because they can, not because they need to.

Not even close.

Mark delivered whereas Brad didn't.  Mark is still working hard on his game, he is passionate about it but I don't feel that is any reason to belittle him.  He is doing what he has to do to get people excited about his product, and even though it has some issues, flaws and bugs its still a pretty damn good, solid and fun game.

Brad and Mark have two completely different design philosophies as well as personalities.

So not... not even close.
