That's a good gaming laptop.  Mines over one year old now and not as good as yours and i was playing stuff like Crysis on mine so yours should shit it in with most games.

Having soloed a swashie myself up through the levels i can tell you they are great at the solo play.  They can kill above their level quite easy plus the added bonus of sneak makes them very versatile soloers.  When you have that time for grouping they also fll the DPS role nicely and can tank at a pinch if no plate tanks are available.

I've also levelled a Zerker up to 80 also and can tell you they are great too, tough and can dish it out.  They are also welcome tanks in groups.

Here's a few off the top of my head:

• Fallout 1 & 2
• Arcanum
• Planescape Torment
• The Witcher

Not even close.  The only similarities are with the lore, place names, classes, races etc.  Gameplay is different, zones may have the same name as their EQ1 counterpart but look completely different.

It's easier than EQ1.  Probably on par to begin with but many changes since release have made it easier.

Are most players at max level?

I would say majority are yes.  Plenty of lower level alts running arounf though.

Are most equipment crafted or looted?

Both. 

How does PVP servers work? is it FFA or racial?

Don't play on a PvP server but i think its goos vs evil so to speak.  I would assume if you become an exile then you could FFA both sides.

Whats the coolest thing about the game and what do you not like?

Coolest thing for me: Exploration and questing

If this expansion is going to be primarily high level then i think SOE have shot themselves in the foot.  They should have done another all levels expansion aka EoF.

I usually watch a bit of everything, dont have a favorite as such.  Now if Rugby and Cricket became olympic events then that would be a different story.
