Heard on the off topic boards about this game, while not a proper "mmorpg" with its matchmaker system, its still multiplayer, and plays like an action mmorpg like Risk your Life.

The game combines Fps, melee, magic, strategy, an rts system, and probably more. Im no fan of pure pvp games, but this game breaks a few barriers in gaming if you ask me.

To simply describe the game, during a match one player is the "commander" who plays the game like RTS, building buildings, gold mines, and supporting/buffing "action players" who are the rest of the players who comprise the actually units of the battle. Combat is real time, but a little to intense for my usual tastes. The classes are pretty intersting and unique from each other, I personally loved the fact you can be a builder and just help the commander build stuff, second faviorate would be any healer class personally.

The strategy is what I enjoy, deciding to raid strategically important locations on the map, and help the commander setup garrisons is amazing. The team seriously has to work toghether to win, especially if the enemy has a smart commander.

This game is definently refreshing from mmo's imho, its something new, and fun, and best of all pretty much free.

Hate vampires personally, I suspect one of my friends might be one cause she flippin bit me and left a good ole bruise (hicky?) on my back.

But no, vampires cannot live in their mothers basement, that removes all possible badassness from you, even if your a vampire.

I agree, if you don't know what class your going for exactly at 5, its so easy to screw up with your initial stats.

Surprised a little I never noticed this, it is something they should change, but at the same time I can't imagine them getting around to it unfortunately.

Well I keep hearing the game is going to be "twitch" based and such and it just turns me off, I play singe player games for that.

Im more into an rpg, developing a character, earning and developing gear, raising skills and stats, stuff like in DDO, but it doesn't sound like this game is going that route.

Also it sounds like the game supports/caters to solo players, which just isn't my tastes at all, looking forward to group friendly games.

I thought figuring out what happened to Grayditch was cool, after I discovered the kids father was dead, i went through his neighbors houses and went through the terminals to discover that the problem was their was a nest of fire ants, now I just gotta get down there and clean it out, or perhaps discover something else?

I don't know, I thought it was neat that i actually decided to go out of the way to find out what happened, do my own little investigation, and then the game throws a quest at me, that was awesome.

Something a friend today brought up with me, why do I play video games? Well specifically why do I play only RPG's mostly or games lacking in the extreme action department, like shooters/beat em ups/etc.

I wasn't sure at first, obviously cause they are fun, but I guess I play games for the story usually, its almost like reading a book sometimes, but better cause you can interact with it, make decisions in it, and visuals are honestly better than text.

I might even say I play to escape reality at times, especially after a bad day at school or work, or if im just tired don't feel like thinking about any issues (late homework assignments specifically) and such.

So im curious why you all here play video games? Do you prefer a specific type or style of games, and is that for a reason that reflects something about you or your interests?

The last thing we need is to promote religious violence in games.

Or perhaps thats exactly what we need..to learn the truth dude!

Has anyone actually been to this, or anything similar?

Im a little curious now actually, is it more of a social thing where you get to meet new people and talk in character in such and act out a little? Or is it more focused on well, the game part? I guess to describe it, I mean like play fighting and such? 

Nothing you couldn't find in any other mmo really, as you already know it seems, this game is more about the journey and story than its endgame.

Love horror films with a good plot, like 28 days/weeks later, amongst others.
