thats especially true for MMOs where all AI calculations are done on servers (if there is any AI at all, some mobs in some games make me think about that sometimes). For strategy games and other games that rely on good ai routines i think you will see games faster that utilise Quad.

I would disagree on that. My E8400 still out performs the Q6600 in Supreme Commander and that has the most advanced computer AI for a RTS. Supreme Commander also has full quad core utilization so no core is going unused if needed.

INTEL E8400 will out perform the Q6600 in gaming all the way. $200, so roughly $50 cheaper.

I enjoy Conan lore and the combat system more than any other ATM.

"But also, the game looks to demand much more of a high end computer just to play it smoothly which is a huge negative." - That is not a huge negative. I strive on pushing my computer to its limits and then OC'ing it :D

You get 3 days EA, and another 10 days, so a total of 13. It will NOT charge your creditcard until you have entered the CD-key. The 10 days EA is for people that can't get there CDs on launch and have a 10 day grace period until they do get it and register the CD-key.

Hmm I'm confused. I signed up for early access on Tuesday, if I remember correctly. So I should be in. I don't see the 5 dollar charge on my bank statement or an email in my inbox with a link to download the client. Did they retroactively remove some people from EA?

I thought I had signed up for it but I don't see where to get the client. Not a good sign...

Look at your FunCom account page. Its not a email but a link on the same page after you get EA. Also the link is EVERYWHERE on the internet now so there is no excuse not to find it lol. Some idiot spammed it and non EA and pre-orders started downloading it taking up huge bandwidth.

Exactly. Pre-order is not Early Access. Early Access costs $5 for the download and 10 days. If there is not EA then you did NOT pay the $5 so W T F is the problem? Oh btw, FunCom announced that AoC is only playable for 3 days then its release is being pushed back 3 months.

Or will Funcom turn the Closed Beta servers into Test Servers once the game is released?

No. Closed BETA is for testing up coming patches for balancing and stability, meaning they will never come down until the game dies, or they perfect it so well there isn't a single problem. WoW has inside testers then a test server to test it under stress. Same thing might happen here with the live test server.

Its not a scam. If people were smart enough to understand that.. sigh. EA is FREE for pre-orders. If its a scam then your saying you only bought the game for the 3 day early access. Reason why they have Early Access was because the OB Servers are already setup and can hold 600~k people and the others are setup for the 20th. If you did NOT pay for EA then wtf is the problem? Wait, FunCom has announced the game is only 3 days long and this is your ONLY chance to play! (Not reading through pages of flame)

You can only have open PvP in Boarder Kingdoms. Think of it as a PvP server on WoW where you have to be in Contested Zones to PvP. And yes, Guardian is the closet thing to a prot warrior.

yes but the question remains, will a healing specced priest be rare ? I want to be sought after for guilds, groups, and raids

Yes. Priest of Mitra have some very nice skills later which will benefit sieges and PvP a great deal but people still wont want to play a Priest healer.. You'll see some DPS spec'd but they wont heal nearly aswell as you could or bring such benefits. Look at the PoM skill tree for healing.

The other 25% of the time you are a powerful meleer with no need of weapons or armor--and then your 30 seconds of glory are over, so time it well!

I predict it will be the most abandoned and neglected (by the players at least) class of all unless the length of time one can transform is either extended or better offensive/defensive capabilities are offered for the human form.

HoX definitely wont be the least played. At Lv20 they were powerful and required a bit more clicking than say Ranger or Assassin but later in the levels you will see much improvement with the class. I doubt anyone leveled a HoX beyond 21 in the OB.

Problem though is most MMO's, healer types are slow to level and sometimes just plain need help as solo play is tough

PoM have strong attacks. FunCom hasn't gimped any class in any aspect really. If you spec into healing, your going to heal like a beast. If you spec into damage your going to do damage like... a beast.

I can see Priest of Mitra being the least played. They also have spellweaving. Necro, Demo, Barb, Assassin, and by far Ranger are the most played. Bear Shaman might get on the list since its a decent melee/healer hybrid.

Does not bother me long as I don't get grouped with one. Easy kills for me though.

Dual/Quad core and a 8800GT and up can. I set 1 core to each client and when i alt tab to the other window, it stops rendering the 1 I alt-tabbed from. KILLS your video memory and RAM though.

Make a difference in load times. How it will look will be the same as the 3850 only does so well. 360 version though will have medium AoC graphics, maybe lower since you have some huge areas to render. 360 version will probably have HUGE load times as well.

Also, would it actually be worth upgrading my PC then just to play this game or should I save my money and wait for the Xbox 360 version, as that was plan B.

PC > 360 in every aspect. GTA4 and 95% of every game comes out for PC. Spend some extra money on a PC but your getting 80% more productivity and entertainment. Also the community, PC vs 360... PC is just better.

1 million pre-orders apparently. And as for your computer specs, Vid card is on par with 8600GTS so I would stick to medium if your cpu can handle it.
