They actually are NOT gaining additional $5. If I may quote the Pre-order... $5 will get you into Early Access and give you an ADDITIONAL 10 DAYS PLAY. 30/3 = 10. 15/3 = 5. It was just to stop the link of the download spreading causing these horrible bandwidth issues, but of course some idiot child got his parents to get him in, and then spammed the link.

Deleting or ignoring ppl does not make the problems dissapear.  That is what Funcom is doing.  Constructive posting does not only including prahsing the game.  Constructive talk can also be about negative sides.

What we need to be sure about is that those that DONT get early access are given severs that dont have the early access ppl playing on.  So ppl can at least start with a blank page on the same time as those that had some days headstart. 

This early access can never be of any good.  Hopefully all MMOs have learned from this now. 

Agreed. But I'm happy they did this because its 3 days less of boredom lol. I can only play TF2 and UT3 for so long before I have enough of killing nubs.

I find it funny that 98% of the people complaining about AoC either are not smart enough to bring up a valid point, computer can't run it on high (don't try to quote me on that), or they just didn't read what was posted and stickied on OFFICIAL forums. Minsc just summed up everything needed to be said right there.

Logos are in 800x600? resolution so your monitor or videocard might not like the sudden switch. Window mode should fix it, if not try a reinstall as something might have gotten corrupted.

Hope you get banned. Forums are used for constructional talk and this EA stuff has been spread across about 100 different threads. You wont need to create another to feel special.

Actually TigerDirect lately have been jacking up prices on a lot of things... I would still recommend just getting separate parts and having someone throw it together for $50. If you live around Mississauga Ontario I'll even take you to the stores, get the parts with you, and throw it together for $50.

And from the looks of what TD has to offer.. Nothing is good for pre-builts. Stay away from Dynex and RocketFish (horrible bestbuy brands)

Oh and motherboard, you should never have to spend over $150 on one unless you NEED the accessories it provides.

ASUS P5K ($120) is a extremely solid board or if you think you will be doing SLI, then ASUS P5N-D (not a fan of nvidia chipsets as they run hot and provide sub-par overclocking).

Edit: Powersupply, minimum of 600-WATT. ULTRA, BFG, and ThermalTake are some brand names that I trust for products. Always look at reviews though. 10 mins of reading can save you hundreds and also increase your gaming performance by leaps.

By NO MEANS get a AMD Phenom. COMPLETE waste of money. $200 E8400 will out-perform it on every game and and quite a few applications. AMD has fallen behind and INTEL is now a mile ahead of them.

ATI I wouldn't recommend but they do make some solid cards, while having lots of issues for some reason.

Sadly to say but OCZ RAM isn't what it use to be. They are putting in downgraded modules on low-mid range (Platinum now uses bad modules compared to the Micron D7 they used 2 years ago).

Get Mushkin HP2 (Micron D8-9 modules) or Crucial. Cheap yet top of the line.

8800GT. No excuse not to get one as they are now going for $160 after rebate.

E8400 if you can swing the $200. then a E6750/E6850 when drop in price.

NEVER buy a prebuilt from BestBuy/FutureShop/Dell. Tigerdirect.ca has PROPER priced pre-builts even and if anything, just have them assemble it for you. You will save $200-500 getting a gaming machine yourself and having them put it together for you.

Such info is NDA I would think considering how much Funcom likes to keep things covered with a blanket. Honestly it would be better to upgrade your computer than a console as 95% of all 360 games will be released on PC or soon to be. GTA4 Will be ported soon as well. Pump a little extra $ into a computer but it will be that much better over a console :/ Not to mention the console community.. Dear god I hope they don't get anywhere near PCs.

Well if you are playing WoW then yes I can see it not needing much but AoC requires more button pressing and timing,

It could be a possibility but I doubt it. PC will always beat Console controllers for response, combos, speed, and accuracy.

$5 is not for early access. it was to download it which was spose to be for pre-orders only but someone spread the link and ruined it. no seeders and hundred thousand leechers is not good. don't forget the 10 days extra you get for the $5. LEARN TO READ YOU IDIOTS. thousand of these post and they can't read a paragraph of text. even if you do not get into early access, you get the 10 days extra you paid for.

Some idiots among the AoC community decided to spread the download link. People who did not apply for Early Access then started downloading it, causing a lot of bandwidth to be taken from the rightful buyers. Also the $5 is for 10days play time and was suppose to stop all the people who did not pre-order/EA to not take bandwidth... but always someone has to ruin it.

What everyone neglects to read is: $5 is for 10 days play time, AND Early Access, and Early Access Download. 30/3 = 10. 15/3 = 5. People are morons and gave the Early Access download link to everyone, even the non early access and griefers that wants to spit on AoC. This is not Funcoms fault... It is the communities.

Stop making threads about it now.

Oh and if anyone bothered to read AoC Announcements they said that the Early Access was LIMITED.
