Not much has changed. I think they relized that they are going to have to cut their loses and just let it roll. Still has a decent population that will keep some money coming in. But lets face it, they are not going to be competiting with WAR, WoW, and AoC anytime soon. |

My guess is that WoW is a significantly younger population than the population of MMORPG.com. Just a hunch, because I notice that most people here seem to talk about older games like EQ and UO a lot which would age them a bit. I doubt most WoW players could relate to those games. Just a guess. |

that is the most incredibly boring garbage to ever hit the MMO world. Well I wouldn't say NO ONE likes games that force you to raid for hours because obviously a lot of people do otherwise Blizzard wouldn't be so frickin rich right now! Clearly those guys have made a ton of $ on the game so your opinion doesn't seem to matter now does it lol? Personally, I'm not a fan of WoW. In fact I enjoy bashing it like others. But atleast I'm not retarded enough to try to say its a POS because so many people play it on a regular basis. I am anxiously awaiting WAR which has its fanbois and trolls as well. I don't fall into either of the extremes. Valid point OP. But like many have said...those statistics are pretty well skewed. Just play what makes you happy. |

Its sad because the world is so big, but there just isn't enough people to support it. It really is sad because it was once a great game. I think the poplulation now is nothing but vets that can't seem to let go because of their rares ect and the game does is not friendly to new players in the since you would be the only new player. |

I'd say WAR is more of a DAoC clone than a WoW clone. I agree being a WoW clone isn't bad due to its success in the MMO community. But WAR is somewhat new to me. It has some features seen in DAoC and WoW ect, but I still feel like it marchs to its own beat. I'm not too concerned what game it reminds me of anyway as long as it is fun to play and doesn't run like crap. |

With as much controversary that SWG has caused you can count on the next SW MMO taking foreeeeeeeeeeever for development. I hope KOTOR comes in the form of an MMO but I see it as a console RPG myself. |

I think it is the right speed. It isn't super fast, but it isn't too slow either. I think you'll find at release that the combat pace feels natural and makes a lot of sense. |

I do not think there is any truth to that rumor. I keep up to date with UO quiet frequently and have not came across anything to lead me to believe they have made plans to close soon. I will speculate that when Darkfall finally releases that UO will be forced to shut down, as the whole UO population will likely jump to Darkfall. That is just speculation though. I think UO will be around for awhile. Hell, look at all the crap MMORPGs to the left of this post that are still in the released games that haven't been shut down yet lol. It doesn't take a lot ot keep a heart beat in the MMORPG world. |

2008 are you kidding me?! No, it's not going to release in 2008 lol. Look at WAR for example, that game has pratically been finished for a month or two now and will not even release till late October. It takes a looooong time to even polish a complete game. DF is still in the rough stages and doesn't even have the full game put together yet. We can only reasonably hope for a summer-winter 2009 release. |

If you ask me it's kind of BS that a lot of players just get to log in for free all the time and play when there are people out there who are actually foolish enough to pay for SWG. And the people who log in using vet trials and or other methods ;) are just greifing the servers. I feel bad for those who actually pay money to SWG. |

I've always been a big fan of the hardcore environment like UO and orginal SWG. But WAR will rock! People always want to compare it to something, but that's just it, you can't compare it to anything out there really. Just hang in there and give it a try when it releases. I'm sure you will be pleased. |

Its nice to see that they devs are actually throwing us a bone. I was starting to think DF dropped off the face of the MMORPG world. They had a lot of good Q and As, but I want to see some actual in-game content such as videos and what not. I bet the release will come in late 2009. |

FFXI is dead. WoW is a solid MMORPG. I would recommend waiting till WAR this fall, but if you can't wait then you are safe with WoW. Please don't waste your money with FFXI. |

Lol what are you talking about? It's NOT going to launch this year! The year is half way over and there is no date even set for beta, don't count on a 2008 launch. If you want to think reasonably then let's discuss a 2009 release. I don't think that delaying will necessarily hurt DFO as long as they bring the heat at launch. I think they have a unique game for times like these in MMOs and regardless of the year they release it will draw a great deal of attention. But for a 2008 release you can't just toss that idea out the window. |

Hands down Destruction will be the most popular from every poll I've seen. Order will definately be the under dogs and therefore the side I choose to play. I think the Greenskins or the Dark elves stand the most chance at being the most popular. Probably the Greenskins. |
