DAoC was and still is a pretty fun game.  However, you must admit it is a bit outdated given all the good content now available in MMORPGs.  I think WAR will be the perfect opportunity for those who loved DAoC to come play the updated version of DAoC. 

I don't care either, especially after reading their FAQ re: the issue.  I think it was a good call.  I predicted some cuts in the classes considering I thought they were starting with way too many for release.  In fact, I assumed there would be more classes cut than there were.  I think it will make for a more competetive based game 10 range and 10 close classes.  Of course it is disheartening if you were going to roll one of the classes that got cut, but I'm sure you will be able to find another class that you'll find enjoyable if you give it a chance!

Doubt it.  What proof do you have on that.  All you are doing is speculating too.  I don't see any indication of Mass Effect Online.

Pre-orders not getting codes?  I just ordered mine today and the code is instant, well that is off Amazon.com anyway.  If you choose to go about pre-ordering CE from someone else that's on you, but my advice is you go with with a name you can trust like Amazon on something like that.  Like I said if you made that mistake, that's on you.  

Cut content would of bothered me if it wasn't for the fact that I read the article and understand it.  I understand why content was cut, and I'm sure that content will be added regularly making this issue very petty.  As far as everyone being Chaos, well they were clearly the most popular from the beginning and probably always will be.  But you can count on Mythic balancing everything out.  So I wouldn't be afraid to roll Order, in fact, I am going to be Order for sure.  I like the challenge.

OP, your points are not insightful by any means and I guess you do a fine job at generating conversation, but you certainly have not looked into such issues very far whatsoever.  Like I said, the poll speaks for itself doesn't it?

Most people I know from WoW will be playing WAR regardless.  I think WAR will be the top game no matter what, and will draw attention from all MMOs out there.  If WAR is everything that I'm hearing it is then I think the most important thing for release is a polished, functional game.  If your the best you don't have to worry about the others right?

I just pre-ordered the CE from Amazon.com.  I presume that they send some sort of code for the open beta that I would put in the Beta Center, right?  In the email confirmation about the order I didn't see any pre-order code, only number I saw was the order number and that didn't work.  Anyone that has done the same thing, does it come in a seperate email or does it come in the confirmation email and if so where is that code?

I'm sure those specs will be fine for WAR.  I am a bit curious myself with the requirments.  I presume it will be easier to run than the system hog such as AoC and VSoH.  Because it is such a PvP/RvR base game it will have to have less reqs because it would get rediculous real fast if it was as jolty as AoC or VSoH on the average PC.

LOL.  Yeah your chances are pretty slim there.  That goes for me too, I'm in the same boat.  But I figured the chances of getting lucky on the guild forms are ziltch.  However, if there are any open guilds with keys available wanting a mature, experienced MMO player let me know.....riiiight like that'll happen lol. 

I think most people acknowledge existence.  The debate is over the state and release of the game.  I'd really like to see some UI, but atleast we know that they are still tickin.  As far as those who believe there will be a release this year.....not happening.  Believe me, I wish it was true, but it just isn't possible.

LOL.  Justice.  I love it.  OP, why'd you pre-order like a fanboi if you didn't know anything about the CE.  Oh wait I forgot, you were "semi-forced" to order it lol.  I'm glad I wasn't semi-forced.  In fact, I hope they don't semi-force me to do anything.

Hands down I think orginal UO had the best crafting.  Of course it was a bit tedious, but this made it harder to obtain Grandmaster status.  A good GM blacksmith could make a killing in that game by setting up a merchant and selling wares.  It had it's flaws though.  Either way I enjoyed it, even collecting the resources was risky in UO so it made it a lot of fun.

I use to believe it would be November, but the more I read about the state of the game and with how beta is going I would estimate that it will be in October. 

Yeah I'm guessing the only facts to back that assumption would be what Tasos said about it releasing in 2008.  I just don't see it happening.  We haven't even been given a beta beginning date as of yet.  Without beta coming soon it would be impossible to get a decent game out by Decemeber '08.

Well Mark articulated that debate pretty well and I dub him the winner!  The only critique I have is that he probably didn't need so many words to prove his point.  Anyway, he is absolutely right and I look forward to hearing about the new information.

6 months is that all?!  and you think you deserve in after only 6 months?  Give me a break.  This is WAR!  This is the biggest MMO release in history.  Shoot I've been in there for a year and a half and never got a shot.

Anyway, after reading that OP I'm a little hazy, but I think the OPster had a point, in there somewhere.  The thing is, there hasn't been a lot revealed about DF.  Well not for a game that is suppose to be releasing in 6 months anyway.  Although I doubt that is going to happen.  I think people need to see some hard evidence to believe stuff sometimes in MMORPGs because so many MMOs have came out with promises that were never met.  I just think its due to the let down of so many previous MMOs.

Do I believe in God?  Do I answer my own questions?  Do I ...... wait, sorry I forgot where I was at :P

Destruction will definately have more, I just hope it is even in the realms unlike WoW had it.
