Are you an idiot or just stupid?  Either one is the same as the other.

Why the hell would anyone in their right mind, use their credit card over their debit card for anything accept what they got the card for?  I got mine to build credit at first, and use it for my gas monthly and pay it off.  Then with big purchases I don't feel like dishing out the dough for right away.  But, it means I have to pay interest.  Why would I pay interest on the $15 it cost to play the game monthly, or even at 6 months, when I can pay it without interest with a debit card?

You say to keep kiddies out of a game, and that debit cards are for youngsters, but last time I checked, under 18 = need joint account with a parent, which essentially means its not their card, at least here anyway. 

And FYI, more kids under 18 have "real credit cards" than you imagine.  Their parents get them and give them to their kids.  It happens.

So, stop being childish yourself. Games were originally created to entertain children, and it grew on us as we got older.  And now, we all play them, young and old. 

You want a game that doesn't have kids?  Go play shuffleboard or Backgammon...

And, yes, some credit cards do charge interest even within the month of purchase.  Some you can't get away with not paying any interest by paying it off at the end of  month.

PVP is stupid.  You go to one zone that isnt very big.  The creeps are monsters, aka Wargs, Orcs, and Spiders.  Players play them and rank up as they go spending Destiny points to get all their skills/attributes.  They get maps to map just about anywhere in the zone, where as the Freeps, the actual characters (your avatar?) only have one.

Its a one sided thing.  Its either the creeps out number and out cooperate the Freeps, or vice versus.  When one side is losing they camp at 1 shotters.  Yes, 1 shotters, get close and you die.

Thats how simple it is.  It's totally not PvP.  No, you cannot kill other Freeps, only the Creeps.

Ahhh, EU beta.  Sucks that you only get 1 server.  We have two in the US, one "was" pvp, sucks they changed it -_-.

Okay, patch is finished.  There is still two servers, and they are still named Lich King and Northrend.  However, they changed Lich King to a normal server wtf T_T.  I was having fun on my DK lol.

Please no flame this is a fair warning to the WoW Community to avoid the beta if you do not want to have damage done to your rig. Have you ever considered that perhaps your download may have been corrupted?  It happens, and it can/will cause issues like this.  Sure, it may install perfectly.  Doesn't mean it isn't corrupted.

Tried the same install on a second computer, did it work well?

Re-download it, and reinstall from scratch.

	I decided to go for quick look around, Just over the cliffs in the distance I could see the horde stronghold. I did a few more quests in the area, scouting a mine, buring some buildings.
	I decided to take a closer look at the horde stronghold.. this is as close as I dared get.  That floating thing in the background spawned about 50 mobs so I run like a little girl.  the shadows it caste was darn good though. I am loving the gfx improvments in wotlk.
	So What loot did I get in my few hours in the Wotlk beta? As a Tier 4 geared hunter with Season 2 PvP epix to fill in the blanks none of this loot was more powerful than I already had. So all you T5/6 guys dont worry your effort is not gone to waste.

I only got to play around 4 hours and explored all of about 10% of one zone in northrend, but It feels great, visualy its better than TBC and ofc it feel more like WoW as its not on a strange alien planet.

IDK what Wrath beta you're playing, but the official has 2 servers, Lich King and Northrend, One PvP server, one PvE server.  Unless that is, they changed everything drastically within the past week.  I've been too busy to play.  Then again, you may not be in closed beta, but a seperate beta for those opt-ins, IDK.  Patching a 500mb patch atm so I cannot say if theres been a big change or what.  I hope not, I had a DK on both servers at 72 T_T.

Got my invite and was able to enter code fine.

Just slow download.  I </3 torrented only files for betas.  W/o Seeders, it takes soooo long.

Anyone else having issues creating an account?  They claim in the pre-order page that

"To register for Open Beta:

1. After August 15, 2008 visit the Mythic Entertainment Account Management website.
2. Create a new Warhammer Online game account.
3. When prompted, enter your Open Beta code.*"

yet every time I do so, it will not allow me to enter my codes.  I have two codes and tried them both.  It says to enter the code to the product you wish to activate.  Then below it says any beta codes, or item codes ,ect.

Every time, it says invalid code.

Anyone else getting this?

Basically the conversation started with him saying hi then another line later :).  Then he starts the flame war telling me how bad of a player I am and how nobody likes me.  Note, this happened after I told his internet boyfriend err I mean girlfriend off on vent (see above reply).  I simply told him he had no life and trying to start another flame war, this time he actually did it in tells, was just proof.  And he continued to rant on and on.

Then it got somehow on the subject of money, me living in my parents basement (which I don't even have a basement), and him making 100k/year being 20 years old in college.  And his reply when I asked him what kind of degree that allowed him to make so much was, "My parents know someone."  So I told him, I suppose since you have no degree, and apparently its not who you know, but your parents, its who you blow.  And it sparked his fire again (woot!).

Then he continues to rant on and on and on.  Was funny, I had a lot of fun just replying to him, not saying much as you can tell.  He did most of the talking.  Point of my replying was to get it and post it on the forums, which I did, to show how stupid he really was.  If he wanted to start a war he got it :).

So anyways, from the point above you get into the conversation that I posted.  I really wish it wouldn't have cut off the first bit of it, was the best part.

Now, on the silverlode forums, he starts again with his flames, and eventually gets the thread closed rofl.  But instead of him getting paid 100k/year, now its his parents are giving him 100k/year for med school.  I did some research, and med school first year is roughly 25k on average.  Not including additional fees, ect.  Then it went from med school, to pre-med, which, costs the same -_-.  And then it went from him getting the full 100k/year, to getting what he needs for school and to live off, and the rest into savings.  So I asked him what school he went to, and if he didn't want to say, simply which state.  He refused to answer that.  No surprise?

Its funny how people change what they say so easily when caught in a lie.

Take it the way you want to take it.  This guy is a fool.  He is a typical reason to stay out of Silverlode.  I stopped playing 3 weeks ago because of drama that he and another person named "Laurabell" has caused, among other things.  Silverlode is like a server for kids who have serious mental problems, because she claims she has a mental disorder that makes her emotional, sorry but its called you're a women.  But as I was saying, its full of kids with issues that cannot socialize in the real world, so they do it in game.  Kind of like "some" not all, but "some" kids on myspace.  They are using it as a social medium.  And so be it, there is drama.

I'm sure not all servers are like that.  I started back in the beta on the Brandywine server.  And have not played since until Feb. of this year.  Would have went back if it hadn't been for a friend irl that got me onto silverlode.

Agreed. I made to about the 3rd or 4th line when I realized it was pointless to read any further. I just wish could get those few seconds to read this tripe back again. I really don't care what you think, I posted this to show how the server is.  The whole server is like that, stay away.  Silverlorde = dramalode.  This conversation would never have happened had he just left it alone.

DK's are supposed to be fallen paladins.  Though I understand they wouldn't want to "penalize" horde by making only 1 race able to be DK's horde side.  So let human, dwarf and draenei be DK's for alliance and blood elf, undead and orc for horde.  There both sides get 3 and lore isn't mucked up nearly as bad.

Show me in the lore that a DK is supposed to be a fallen Paladin.  I think thats a misconception.

A DK is a hero that has fallen in combat and raised from the dead...hence death knight.

What facts have you provided here other than a MS link regarding how much memory can be addressed by the differing version of windows. What about addressing your ignorant and unsupported claims of having a 64 bit OS to get the full performance out of a quad core rig? Stop asking others to read when you yourself can't backup your claims.

Also considering that 90% of my reply to this thead to begin with was addressing memory.  And seeing as I posted a reply to that with proof you really should go back and read it.

As for quad cores requiring 64bit OS to perform at maximum. 

Explain how a Quad core performs better on 64 bit OSes rnning 64 bit Applications, as opposed to a 32 bit OS running 32 bit Applications.

The quad core is designed for use with the 64 bit architecture.  I don't have to prove it, It's a fact.  You cannot access all levels of the quad core without a 64 bit OS because its designed for 64 bit applications.  Hence: why it performs so much better while using both.

So, again, until you take the time to prove me wrong.  Please, shut up and stop the accusations.  Without proof, you're accusations are false and sorry to say, in court, you'd be thrown out.
