Will there be a problem of shorter races ganking everyone in PvP? no...because if it does end up happening then everyone will just be looking down more often then up. |

well after doing the tutorial (with the lady in blue robes) i found myself in some town (new haven i think) and decided to skill up. took me a while to figure out how to fire my bow (but it was worth it in the end). Spell components are a tad confusing as i honestly cant keep track of all the different ones i need to cast spells. at the end of my first session i managed to find out how to sell items to vendors...unfortunately they dont take everything so i have to track down individual vendors to flog off stuff.
so a few questions (i am currently in the city of Britannia) 1. is there an easier way to sell the stuff i find? should i only be bothering with certain items? 2. i cant seem to use Tame animal or Animal lore. i think i read somewhere that i have to buy the skill off a trainer. if so where can i find one? 3. any other tips would be nice |

i am enjoying Vanguard. Diplomacy and crafting are a nice alternative to the grind. |

ok up until raids (80ish) crafted gear tends to be better than looted. The game is fairly forgiving in this aspect as there are questlines that you can do for decent weapons (Tomb of Tsang and Hunter's league). Armour is usually crafted as it is hard to find stats you want (crafting is able to customise armour pretty well when it comes to stats). as far as spell casters go. Bloodmages are capable healers and (somewhat) capable nukers. They are basically an affliction type class that dots the enemy, leeches health and hurt themselves to boost damage. Sorcerer is basically a mage (and a fun one at that) and they use all of the elements to their advantage Psionicist is by far one of the most interesting classes in the game. they basically battle with their minds, controlling, charming and melting enemies minds. it is a challenge to play but if played right they can solo mobs that would take a whole group to take on. its up to you really, i recomend Sorcerer if you want a standard mage/wizard, try Bloodmage if you want to help out in groups and enjoy dots. Try a Psionicist if you like a challenge and a unique class. they can all solo well |

i (and no doubt many others) have no idea what game you are talking about. I will however point out one thing. Sandbox games have no classes. thus Thousands of classes contradicts your sandbox comment unless you were infact referring to the thousands of combinations of skills (that could be loosely referred to as classes like in Oblivion) that can be possible
also if this is about Darkfall you are way off on some of your claims |

i think very long and very hard about buying gold (yes i have purchased it in the past). i have a little checklist for myself before i take the plunge 1. will it affect only me and no other player(s)? 2. is it worth it? 3. How will this effect me now and at max level? 4. How safe is it? i have only ever purchased gold (so far) to buy mounts. Mainly because all that money goes straight to NPC's and no other player is affected. i detest the crazy grinds needed for mounts. i was so lucky in WoW to have a friend donate the money i needed for a mount. it took my other friends 5-10 levels just to afford their mounts and they lacked training and gear to match the richer players,
i think if they bothered to remove the stupid grind needed for vital items(we are supposed to be better than average people...why the hell should we be poor?) then it would reduce the demand for gold farmers. |

Originally posted by kduke91 I've heard that almost ALL of the armor and weapons are going to be crafted in DarkFall and also that crafters can create basically anything if they have the materials, of course. And about the release date, it's promised by the company to be released by the end of 2008. Closed beta is going on right now and open beta is supposed to start very soon. thats nice that everything can be crafted. however so far i have heard nothing innovative about it and thus i will assume it is a crappy system of grab X and Y material and click Z button to complete recepie. Both Vanguard, EQ2 and (to a lesser extent) SWG have far more involved crafting with much more complexity and problems that can arise. as far as Darkfall and its release...i never bother with a game until it is in Open Beta at least. Also the OP wants an MMO now, not in the 'end of 2008' or 2009 |

i honestly dont care about FF.
as for PC vs PS3. who honestly gives a toss who gets it first? its a game, its there for enjoyment. so what if you have to wait a few weeks longer to get it on the system you want (in the case of FF the PC is a minority compared to the console market). |

if it is 10 hours a day i see no reason not to have it. i'ds be lucky to get 2 hours a day. Maybe if i found some sweet groups i may even play for 6 hours or so on a weekend. that Limit will not affect anyone other than those people who need a life. |

quite the opposite. its now a stable and decent game. i see plenty of people at both max level and in the low to mid levels. it drops off sharply at around 40 but picks up again at 48 (when you can attend raids). overall its a good game. Crafting and Diplomacy seem to keep it afloat as they are so indepth and meaningfull...and such a sweet thing to do when you are bored of hitting things with a big stick. |

Vanguard has some cool races...but its a huge rip off of EQ2 when it comes to lore and basic gameplay. SWG had some cool ones too |

^^^^ havent heard much about crafting from Darkfall...and i doubt its going to be released this year
if your looking for some meaningful crafting try SWG (hope you havent played it pre-NGE) or Vanguard (only game where there are both adventuring, crafting and diplomacy levels. basically you can go all the way to the top without touching the other tiers (most people get to lvl 20 in adventuring before getting to 50 in crafting) oh and crafting requires skill). those 2 and EQ2 are the best on the market. |

take a look at the DnD tank (Warrior). Sure he soaks up hits but man he can dish it out. Some MMO's allow their tanks to belt things to death i dont see why others dont follow suit |
