Wee. Another thread with nonsense information, countered with estimated numbers and other nonsense. Where do you guys come up with all your "facts"? |

My best memories are from time when Neverwinter Nights (1 and 2) had some good, * low magic, RP servers. It was up to you if you wanted to participate in special events run by DMs or just do your own adventures in various caves and crypts with your friends. The servers had player cap in 50 to 80 players max and if YOU were one of the few who survived from dragon attack or whatever, the others would know that. And in few cases, you were rewarded with special loot like rare armor, sword etc. - and with rare I mean a sword that only YOU had on the whole server. Can't say how proud I felt for my Ranger when he was given an enchanted bow that could summon magical arrows and shoot them endlessly. No more carrying arrows for me. Oh, and that was a hot topic amongst the thiefs. Had to be really careful where to wield that bow. Those were the golden times. Now you need to have the max level to be able to wear the exact same items with best stats, found from a Boss in the bottom of the deepest cave. Then you can look like the rest of the players, have the same stats and abilities. Thank God you can still at least choose your own name and if your character has moustache or not. * With low magic servers the settings were a bit more realistic, if you can use a word 'realistic' in fantasy games. There were no +5 glowing greatswords sold on every merchant and even minor magical boosts on items were rare. |

Instead of giving that clown a ride in space, they should have used the money on something else like fixing bugs or creating more content. I don't think the game deserves to be saved. It was all right, but let's face it: even Auto Assault was better. |

I'd like to know why no one from mmorpg.com has been invited to this supposed Beta.
You know, I doubt breaking the NDA just to make YOU relieved isn't really worth it. |

Stupid kid and parents that don't care. That's it. No need to ponder whom to blame. It would be so easy to always blame the product and supplier, whether it be games, tobacco, drugs etc.. No-one is forcing you to use it. And like he didn't know that human body needs to rest sometimes. Another idiot got what he deserved. |

It was the loneliest MMORPG I've ever played. With the public quests, you don't even have to put any effort to find a group for questing. You just solo the regular quests, see a bunch of guys doing public quest, join the grind and take your leave. There was no need to even communicate to anyone. And trust me I tried, seems just like people were always in a hurry killing with this and delivering that. Oh yeah, and the lack of items annoyed me: all guns, armors, swords etc. looked usually the same. |

I doubt I'll play either one. One doesn't even exist and the other one is just polished FF/anime/Lineage-poop with wings. |

Originally posted by Dubel Well I'm all right with the ingame voice chat as long as it's working. That way you don't have to use teamspeak with some of your friends and ventrilo with some etc. And in worst cases people even want to use some exact version of their favourite voice chat software which really makes it a bit awkward to use. So, thumbs up if they make a working integrated voice chat. |

Hi guys! Just found out this old YouTube-video from Fallen Earth. I haven't seen many FE videos yet and this one is dated back to 2006 - and it looks kinda hot. If you haven't seen those yet, remember to watch all 4 parts of it. If you got more great links to some newer ingame videos, please post them here and it'll help me pass time until I get my hands on alpha key. |

Well you gotta start from somewhere... But trying to petition an apology is like asking to someone wipe your ass just because you'r too lazy to do it yourself. You really think online petitions are going to make a dent in Funcom's activity? Get real. I admit I thought AoC was going to be the next best game. Didn't take that long for me to realize most things they promised were bulls*it. But hey, after Vanguard or Tabula Rasa it didn' t feel that bad anymore. And I'm not sure if Warhammer Online is everything they promised either. As long as there's no real legal actions taken against Funcom and other gaming companies, and showing that us gamers are seriously tired with getting screwed 10 - 0 while the companies walk away with our money - there's not much to do than rant on various forums or do this petition thingy, which could be taken as serious as boy scout hobbies or building skyscrapers from LEGOs. As long as you install the game and click on the "accept" part of the End User Access License Agreement, they can do whatever they want with the game. All you can do is enjoy the ride and watch how the game goes back and forth between steaming pile sh*t and a shining diamond. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against petitions or devoted my life to cover Funcom's ass like we have seen in some Dorkfall cases. I'm just saying that going against big companies with petitions and stuff like that is like going to war, armed with toothpicks. With current type of marketing, companies are able AND allowed to say almost anything and sell all kinds of beta releases half done junk as a "full game". To put a stop for that, it would require a huge movement of gamers who would somehow market against the product and tell us consumers that "My friend, your are getting screwed now big time!". And I'm not sure if that's actually allowed. I know there is always the game reviews that give you some sort of idea from the game, but if I'm correct, in some cases those reviews can also be controlled with enough money. I couldn't care less if Funcom would make a public apology, understanding what they actually did and why some gamers are mad to the company. I feel very stupid for buying their game and hearing a Funcom's apology or the company admitting, that they cheated our money wont change it. I already know I got screwed. 50 Euros is not that big amount, but for every cheated customer it builds up into very juicy amount of money. It's a shame those *ssholes can't be forced to pay us back. There is definitely a neat loophole here, which can be freely used by gaming companies. |
