Explain why they would jump right to Open Beta for Westerners, when CB has not even been discussed yet, NCsoft never (and I mean NEVER) skips the closed beta phase. Regardless of testing having been done on the same product in a different region.

You posted some legit info, and for that you have my thanks, the rest of the thread is, and will continue to be, useless.

NCSOFT have already said there will be no beta in EU and NA, they have done all the testing they needed in Korea....only thing that needs testing in EU and NA is translation.

The you quit a couple of months ago so you can't comment on the game isn't at all valid, it's still the same game while some of the changes have been decent they have not in anyway changed the face of the game. These are the main improvements over the last 3 months

Low/Mid level dungeons have been revamped - they are nice now but this part of the game should never have been a high priority fix and good luck getting groups for these dungeons if you arn't on the top 4 servers.

Some more voice acting has been added - I love the voice acted quests but after tortage it's still the case that the vast vast majority of them are not voice acted, dispite the additions you will still get that jarring feeling when you leave tortage. A few more quests have been added

PvP xp and pvp armor has been added - the only real significant addition, but what they did was nerf all the armor people were wearing and then say now go pvp and earn some new armor that isn't even as good as what you had, the current pvp system has just resulted in people kill trading and other than for the first few days hasn't significantly increased proper pvp as intended, minigames are more popular now though. Just as the duping cheaters prospered before with funcom to scared to deal with it the same is true now with kill tradeing.

There has been quite a few bug fixes and stability improvements - nice but difficult to know how much is improved and how much is just the people with problems not playing anymore.

pvp balance has improved from ludicrously bad to just bad and now they are looking to dumb down the combat system that is the one thing that sets the game apart.

If you quit the game because the instanced and tiny world gave no immersion thats the same, if you quit the game because rolling an alt gave you almost the exact same experience a second time thats the same, if you quit the game because the game just has little to do and is no fun at endgame outside of an occasional seige thats the same,

If funcom adds a real meaningful pvp system with more reasons to pvp then you can come back and say hey you need to try the game again before you can fairly comment but that isn't true at the moment, it's still an extreamly similar game with the majority of the same flaws and the lack of population on the majority of the servers mean you could easily end up having even less fun than the first time.

Ummm... sounds just same like WoW in his second year when nobody played it...

Well, if they want to live thinking Aion is a grindfest, best for them. I mean it will be better for us, trully good players, to play this game in peace and enjoying it, than having a lot of kids talking about WoW and WAR and DF all the time in the OOC and General chat...

Just leave them be, dont discuss with kids or try to convince them.

YES, there is an open beta, at least in EU (well it ended on saturday, lasted for 5 days)

Im not saying WAR is s***t cause it looks like WoW, im saying it has the same WoW combat and design AND its boring and laggy (hope they fix that soon).

WoW was good at its years, right now some fresh air is needed and any game is offering that to us, so it would be suitable to wait for next hits... did someone said Aion?...

It was owned by Sigil and the CEO, Brad McQuaid did not know what the hell he was doing. He was too busy managing an affair with the PR director and his married Asst Vice President than to lead the game in terms of financial and development direction.

Long story short, they released it way too early because they ran out of money due to poor business decisions.

It was released with bugs everywhere and anywhere. Classes were screwed up, performance issues were bad. It was just really messy. They went from 250,000 users to 20,000 users in two months and then Sigil wen tout of business, selling the game to Sony.

Brad Mcquaid got hundreds of thousand of dollars out of the deal and everyone else was fired in Sigil's parking lot on a Friday Afternoon by a 3rd party contractor that is leased out to fire people. Brad didn't even have the balls to tell the people who slaved over this game that he had to let them go and liquidate the company.

Think of it as Age of Conan but with a smaller company involved.

Zero credibility. Been written on the internet doesnt means its true.

True, their falling rightn now but people has hope that this game gets better in a few months.

I left the game after the first month but time to time I enter the forums expecting for a new pvp patch or something cool, something that makes me pay for a few more months.

Of course, hopes not unlimited.

I play AoC and its a fact that the game is not finished, it has many bugs and classes are unbalanced, but its a wonderfull game, with a gorgeous engine. Havent seen nothing similar in offline or online games yet.
