Ok. I figure this game can't be that difficult. I've played a handful of MMO's and have years of experience in different RPG's. But not SCI-FI.. Hehehe... My character: Gallente Indari Special Forces with lots of + in drones. Ok, so I Start the Tutorial and get through that which only took like 45 mins? I started to do missions from this guy that the tutorial guy told me to talk to. The guy told me to get some marines that were in some cargo hold in some spaceship. I head to the destination and get nearly killed about 5 times from multiple enemies. I figured out what was wrong and it was me not having a Shield Booster. I got my shield booster. Sent out my two little Warrior 1 drones and started fighting. I got them all killed but no sign of any marines im supposed to loot? Nowhere to be found.. I had to abort mission after an hour of searching. So hes upset and I get a new mission from him. He wants me to go fight off some pirates that are making it hard for people to go from this one area, to the other. He tells me to kill the Captain so that the attacks and disruption will stop. I managed to lose my two warrior drones in a previous mission so I got a new one called a Hammerhead. He took up 10/10 space for my drones but he is a beast! I went over there and He was taking lots of those pirates out. I purchased a new blaster myself and started seing huge improvements in damage. After about 25 of the spys and scouts are dead and some little control tower.. no sign of any Captain. I fight a little more and some Higher class pirates come out and start destroying me. I didn't have time to warp out and I died.
So thats about it. If you were bored enough to read this you can see that 1) I fail at this game. or 2) IT REALLY does have a steep learning curve and I need hours+ to get the hang of it. or 3) All of the above. I just wanna complete a few missions and get a new ship and lots of ISK like everyone in the rookie channel said was supposed to happen ;_;. But completing the objectives in these missions seems like they don't exist.

Just read up on a mission before you undock from the station. Those guides will typically tell you where the loot is. Most of the time loot is in cargo containers that are dropped by the enemy. Make sure you have cargo containers active on your overview. To open overview settings: - Look at your overview window (right hand side of the screen). - At the top of the overview window there is a little triangle next to the word 'overview'. Click that little triangle. - Select 'open overview settings'. - Customise overview at will. Make sure to add in stargates and cargo containers of all types. Also add in large collidable structure for missioning. - Save your overview settings. You can create new tabs in the overview, with different settings in each one if you prefer (ie. one for missions, one for mining, one for pvp etc). You just have to save each set as you create it, then load them to the individual tabs. You can always add things to your overview by right clicking them in space and selecting 'add to overview' as well. |

Level 1's are cake in a frig with a few drones fitted and an AB. Just get aggro, kite out of NPC range and let your drones do all the work. Most important thing is range, your drones can be a long way away from you, NPC ships need to be close to hit you. Often mission loot will be in containers (as opposed to ship wrecks). If you pop a ship and a container suddenly appears on your overview its likely to have something important in it. There are a few L1 missions that can be difficult when you start out (eg World's Collide, the Blockade can be a little frustrating too), don't worry about failing a few early on. Once the wheels grip you will be off and racing before you know it with your ISK rocketing up. |

I didnt have any problems with those missions when I started playing. They seemed really straightforward to me. Go to location, destroy a few opponents, pick up mission objective which is easy to locate in the list in the top right hand corner, go home......mission complete. Next. |

I'd put the difficulty of playing Eve and not sucking at about the same level as Civ 4 on Prince, or Sim City. Also, get Evemon and Eve Fitting Tool (google 'em), you'll be glad you did, trust me |
