To not conform is to conform; Always question orders and demand a reason, least you become a Nazi. |
Well a few good choices are mace-spec rogue (mostly for WTFSTOPSTUNNINGME in arena), shadow priest (dots + fear hurt), warlock (same thing except with a pet), or enchantment shaman. Just pick a class that sounds good, I love playing BGs with my rogue (And loved playing mace spec in arena on the test realm), but every class can be enjoyable. |

Rogue - the idiot proof class to pwn pretty much everything right now. Same is true in wotlk, really takes minimal effort to win with. Huntards - potentionally another strong pwner in wotlk if all the buffs go thru. Will be test running that after i finish testing the shaman changes. Avoid shaman like the plague in wotlk - still bottom of the pvp barrel. In fact if pvp is ur main thing just go play WAR. In both betas and war beats wow hands down in pvp. |

Eh Soul-link Syphon life Warlocks, or Rogues. Avoid any class that has to rely on crits for abilities to proc or talents to work, else you'll be stuck doing little damage, or wasting too much in crit rate. Warlocks with Sl/Sl normally use Felhunters from what I know, they tear through buffs and are good to sick on the healers. Rogues... well... just stab and/or slap/sap like you normally do :P And yeah, go WAR for true PvP. WoW should never have made PvP as it is in its current state, it was originally a PvE game, with PvP added for fun. Now Blizz has raped a few classes by introducing Resilience and arena, and making the gear from PvP superior and easier to get (most times, hell even some S4 gear needs no ratings to get). |

Warlocks and Rogues. If you like to do a lot of damage, and really give people a hard time, you can't go wrong with them. Hunters are good for topping charts in Battlegrounds. Lots of quick, still your kill shot, abilities. Paladins, Druids, Priests are good if you like to kill and survive. Warriors, and Shamans are good, but more gear dependent.
Mage is my personal favorite for PvP. Nothing like Scorch, Scorch, Pom/Pyro for 5k in crap gear. Also, use invisible, run into a group of enemies, and just let the arcane blasts fly. Once they see you and start hitting you just ice block. When they start healing, break the block, mana shield up, and arcane blast your way back to friendlies.... :) A lot of fun when more then one mage is doing this at the same time, really messes up clumps of people. |

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started. |
Rogues are great if you isolate an enemy 1v1 and can sneak up on them. But they get beat up pretty bad in 5v5 type situation. They usually get the first kill, but are the second to die. I personally like playing a frost mage in pvp. You have so many options and you can really be a pain for a group of players. |

I took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference. |
If you are stuck on WoW as your game to play, I would say that every class has a way to pwn face in pvp. How do I know this? Well I have 7 lvl 70 pvpers that I have recently retired. My favorite pvp characters for damage are rogues, hunters, and retribution pallies. I've got season 3 on all of them with many pieces of season 4. I will warn you however that pvp in WoW loses it's flavor very quickly and does not have much satisfaction after your 100th annialation of a character. No one knows for sure, but Warhammer seems to be the next PvP type game that ought to well in that area. If you are wanting to play a game for PvP I'd give that one a shot. |

If you put the time it takes to get 7 level 70s in wow, in all that pvp gear, into Warhammer you'll burn out on that game too. Let him enjoy a polished game, with tons of content and people to help before turning him onto the next big thing. He hasn't played 500+ hours in the Battlegrounds in WoW yet, they'll still be fun and exciting for him. |

Play a druid. Resto. You won't own, but everyone around you will, even if they suck, and nobody will be able to stop you from keeping them alive.
Stay far, far, far away from Paladin and Shaman. |

I'd go with one of these: Warrior, Rogue, Paladin, Warlock, Mage, Druid, Hunter, Shaman or Priest. |

druids and hunters, and for ganking rogues. rogues fare less well in the larger fights, but are pretty cheap in smalelr ones. druids and hunters are good in all types of fights and are pretty unstoppable. |
