Besides, this is the forum for AoC... the single most awesome, stable and not-lacking-any-content-whatsoever MMO ever released.

The only good thing about AoC is greifing with their laughably unbalanced pvp. And they are taking greifing out of the game soon and making it even more of a lovely WoW clone.

Funcom is structuring the hell out of pvp so no one ever gets "ganked" or killed when they don't want to be killed. Even on the "pvp servers". Because AoC isn't about pvp; it's about pve grinding for "phat lewts".

AoC is the best MMO out there?

I seriously hope the OP was just being silly. If he wasn't, then he needs to open his MMO arms and play a couple other mmos.

Actually he had a typo, should have read Aoc is the worst MMO out there.

Truth is Games Workshop created Warhammer in the late 80is..WoW took over a lot of their artwork, just goggle for it.

Most people play MMORPGs for gameplay, not for graphics. People want immersion, PvP and good high-end PvE. AoC had none of these, it isn't even a MMO, it's a Multiplayer game at its best(although these days nobody's on so it's pretty much singleplayer).

Why the hell would I endure the endless bugs of it when there are so many beautiful RPGs out there(with better gameplay than AoC)?

Notice the flamers don't really have any option to playing AoC, they are either waiting (!) for another game, or going to games like Vanguard, Tabula Rasa...

What about upcoming games?

Well Warhammer is soon to be released, and from what is said, it's less buggy and more polished. And will probably have more subscribers than AoC.

I don't really care, it still looks like a boring WoW-clone, alot of people seem to think it's just boring.

 

The only game that could really challenge AoC is Darkfall.

However Darkfall got shitty graphics, and it isn't as unlimited as you'd like it to be. Though it's a step in the right direction.

 

Until something better shows up I'll continue subscribing to AoC. Not only because it's the game I prefer to play, but it's a support for someting new and innovative in the MMO buisness. I might leave if I see a better game, but not before.

 

This folks is an example of why crappy devs are able to continue spitting out crappy games. because there are always people with low enough standards to pay them to do so.

AoC is a poor PvE grinder with nice graphics and a slightly different melee combat system.

Every other system in the game is the same, and in most cases worse, than comparable systems found in other games.

Technically, it's a mess, with all the client instability.

It's funny that people can claim AoC is the best MMO out, even when they admit all the problems is has.  It's like they are still proclaiming it the best based on the potential they think it has.  They all have potential, and AoC continually fails to realize that potential.

Right now, it seems they are more interested in playing strategy games with the release dates for significant systems so they are in the right posture for the release of WAR.

This thread is about as dumb as an "AoC is the worst MMO out there" thread.

The only thing AoC has or ever had was the combat system but when chronicles of spellborn releases it'll make AoC look as simple as a 4 sided cube
