    • Ah! The formatting disappears! mmorpg.com, please give comments some kind of formatting!

    • I love all the concepts that this game is bringing. It's kind of a shame, because it still needs two or three more coats of polish. It's the little things, like clunky running/combat animations. I desperately want this game to succeed, because I love the ideas. One thing for sure: No one can call this a WoW clone. It is not a gear grind (gear has no effect) so that sets it apart right there.

    • Hmm...well heres my opinion on this game video....I must say at first when I heard about this game...and looked through it screenshots and hearing reviews I became uninterested, But now coming back and looking at it again, Im starting to find some of the things interesting...but not much. The video on the arena and what not is okay to my eyes, the music I must say is interesting. Comparing this game to others I found some flaws that might bring this game to its end sometime soon, but That may just be me, don't get cocky because of what I just said thats my opinion so far. The characters I think should have a bit more update and the equipment they carry, the spells also. The whole game needs a bit for work on it, but then again its still in beta so its probably get its work done for. well I still am interested in this game and when it comes out, I sure will love to try it and see how it is from other games.

    • My opinion on this game(from the trailer)? Good thing - A little more action combat(nice swirls!), in which your weapons actually TRY TO intersect the opponent(alot of games don't, only the spells do intersect the opponent). Bad things - horribly blended animation, forcing players to slide around like erm, nofriction mode is enabled. Graphics are playable, but i absolutely hate the spike thing. Its like everyone wants a piece of impale(those used in dota, where its already overused). Buffs and spells also look horribly like Anarchy online. Then again, you can't judge gameplay from a supposedly combat/gfx tech trailer(you still need one). I'm sure you can make most games look like a hack/slash game for the action trailer, saving a few like second life or those with horrible combat. @arielstarfir, i don't think guild wars has any of the features you mentioned... it only sounds like its supposed to(heavy instancing). Otherwise i agree with you that the hack/slash/quest formula is outdated and overused. I believe we need something more "meaningful" where our actions can affect the game world. Preferbly, even on an individual scale, rather than "the side in which most players succeed in a quest gets a bonus". Anyway, most asian games aren't known to be innovative, mostly clones of other games with a little tweaking. Maybe except maplestory, which dared to venture into the 2D realm when everyone else went 3D(then you have maplestory clones). Maplestory has 1 success - it turned SOME casual/non gamers into hardcore/undead ones (personal experience). @Rouzuki, to quote obsidian edge 2 - "...was developed to remove the ludicrous scenario of two players standing 10 yards apart pumping Heavy MG rounds into each other with no impact to how they see the world." Quite common, except in newer SP games(Eg, COD4, crysis).

    • Nice video. Judging from the character gliding still very much in beta.

    • short but good video showing some in-game footage with a few cut scenes. This video shows a little of why warhammer will have top notch player controll witch will make for outstanding pvp

    • This video is unimpressive. I played WoW for a over a year, it looks very much like WoW. For any new MMORPG to be successful these days, you will have to move behind the hack/slash/quest/farm model. More games like Guild Wars and Eve-online are needed. Something a bit more nefarious, the ability to build something permanent in a game as a guild or group. Build and defende towns or space stations. More espionage, earning favor points to cash in on a effect, like bribing NPCs to raid something, etc. This game looks old, it looks like WoW.

    • Ice skating was like taking the words right out of my mouth, i saw stuff move but the legs werent quite following the flow...heh. im looking forward to having a closer look into this game but the character physics look crappy atm in my opinion...
  • Thud_The_ACE(posted Mon Nov 19 2007)
    • Very nice environmentals. But the character graphics... BLECH!! lots of ice skating and not very smooth.
  • skuxx(posted Sun Nov 18 2007)
    • TCos will be amazing!!! Good video, cant wait untill the guys can get on with open beta. TCoS will be my next game!!!
  • Rouzuki(posted Sat Nov 17 2007)
    • I think the game looks very awesome, and it uses the Unreal 2.5 engine I heard. The only problem I have with it is weapon collision effects. When I hit a player with my weapon it should knock that character back for even just a second. I hate it when you swing and hit but the other player can just swing and hit you even while taking your attack.
  • Thatim(posted Sat Nov 17 2007)
    • I think this game is awesome. Why try to defend it. Let those fanboys bash the game. I dont care much about them. They are the same people that are whining 24/7 on game forums about NERFZ! You really want these in TCoS? Well, I dont.
  • Kyleran(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • Trailers never look that good graphically.... I'll wait to see the real game....besides, its not the graphics thats important...its the gameplay.... (says the EVE player) :)
  • gatheris(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • well, at least they left the lights on this time so you can at least see.....that characters glide around on waxed ice during battle.....the graphics are dated and very flat looking.....i assume there is a reason we weren't allowed to watch a battle without the camera flipping about randomly (now why would that be)
  • kingtommyboy(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • WOW! this looks amazing! TCOS will be my next mmorpg!
  • vfuller(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • Liked the flashy effects that accompany combat. Otherwise looks like the game is built to run on a very low spec machine, outdated graphics.
  • cyann(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • Outdated graph ? Jeez man, ye you are right, it is not a Fury but .... hehe, what we can tell about WoW graph ? WoW has a graphic like a game made on 199x year. Maybe lets talk about WAR graph, same crap as WoW. TCoS is sweet for me.
  • MarlonB(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • I don't care if the graphics are not top notch, or the characters walk "funny" ... as long as it is a fun game :) The combat effects are still being worked on.
  • AmazingAvery(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • Cant judge it completely until its finished, but so far it looks alright to me. Blood spatters are a little un realistic, but there is definately potential there if you look again.
  • Mortemia(posted Fri Nov 16 2007)
    • The old Unreal-engine really does show up. Somehow I get the feeling that visually the game looks outdated already.
  • ravenglade(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • Cant believe you people, this game is going to be too much fun.
  • rawrxbrad(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • not impressed
  • angus858(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • Nice scenery but the combat is way too flashy with special effects. I don't need a vapor trail and sonic boom to accompany every sword stroke. Those ships do look great.
  • Settingsun(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • There are two races. One has odd legs which causes it to walk funny.
  • CnOath(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • Yes the do walk goofy ! Liked the the Arena area that area looked great. Didn't like the character models they looked and walk goofy, also some of the effects for spells etc though they look great would annoy me if I played this game for long.
  • matisen(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • Is it just me or ´do they walk goofy ??? but the game looks realy nice looking forward to try this one :)
  • ursacor(posted Thu Nov 15 2007)
    • much like most MMorpg trailer is looks nice; with that being said, I'm just not impressed. NOr does it draw my intrest to play.
