Ok, so i downloaded the game and the lil screen popped up. I tryed connecting but it keeps showing a message saying (i am quoting including the weird lines):

"cannot[]connect[]to[]version[]verifing[]server\70.85.150.114:7121,[]\n[]please[]check[]if[]your[]network[]is[]normal[]and[]if[]it[]allows[]visiting\n[]FTP[]server.[[if[]there's[]no[]problem[]with[]the[]network,[]please[]click[]to[]set[]\n[]button[]and[]select[]other[]server[]to[]up"

What do i do?    

I tried all servers, my connection is normal, but i don't know if my network allows visiting FTP servers.

Did you sign up for an account at IGG?  It won't recognize you if you haven't.

They also just released a patch, and its a big one. Check to see if you version .42. 

This is all I can think of.  Good luck, its a fun game.  

Hurra, it worked!

I've got another problem though:

I do get to the main screen, but when i try to log in ito my new made player it just says log in for the next 10 minutes... until i just close the computer out of frusteration.

It worked?  What worked?  Well congrats anyway.
 

Logging in is simply a matter of entering your account name and password.  I don't really see where you can go wrong there!

Need a little more information on what is going wrong in order to help you there.  Try to be more specific.

Also the game can be a little confusing to start.  The tutorial doesn't do a great job of explaining how things work.  It requires a little patience and a lot of trial and error to figure some things out.  Keep trying though and don't give up too easily if you don't figure it out right away.

Errr... I don't know how it worked out, it just got in to the game yesterday when i tried to (again) make it work by chance.

Writing the pass and username isn't so hard, i agree.

But when i get to the ship thingy (after you choose a server), made a player and tried to logg in, it got stuck on the log in.

Hope i made myself clear.

I am confused when you say you get to the ship thingy.  I presume this is the ship with the whale or the dolphins swimming in front of it.  You are logged in at this point. When you say you got "stuck", does that mean the screen froze and you couldn't do anything?  Not sure what you mean by the term "stuck"?

Did you get to the actual character creation screen where you choose what your toon looks like?  After you have finished that it should take you to the deck of another ship with 3 NPC's on it.  This is the beginning of the (very) short tutorial.  You  talk to all 3 to learn a few things then it throws you on your new ship and the adventure begins.

If you made the player and logged out, the next time your character should be one of 2 choices. Just hit enter under that char. and it should put you in the game.

Again, I will ask, are you sure you have the latest version (.42) of the game?  I think it tells you in the upper left corner of the login screen which version  you have.  Check that first and tell me.  if it say .40 or less you need to download a patch.

Maybe someone else here has some other ideas what might be wrong?

I'm running into the exact same problem you did with the popup with the wierd symbols and letterings popping up. How did you get past this?
