Ok this looks awesome.  Fast combat, destructable environments, interactive environments, FPS style combat in some instances, WASD movement, great combat.  When can we play this and if so will it be released in the US?!

I think the rumor is for it to be released in the US is somewhere after 2009 due to translations they have to do. I hope it doesn't take them as long as it took Mabinogi to get here though. I don't know if you currently play Mabinogi? But I hope they make it as fun for the customization without the little blinking icon over our heads for fighting. I recognized some of the animations too they were similar to the current game. I also heard it's sort of an offshoot of Mabinogi not exactly a sequel in the way it currently simulates a fantasy life. But I do love the destructable stuff they showed in those videos it looked really fun and fast!

Have to admit that looks pretty good.  Can't wait to be able to try it.

On the one hand, they're building it based upon the Source engine (e.g. Half Life 2) so the game should be graphically beautiful.  And the combat indeed looks excellent.  Consider my appetite wet.

On the other hand... yet another fantasy grind-fest MMO?...

Don't get me wrong - I lcertainly enjoy my fantasy MMO's... but can't we try something new?  I'm getting a bit fantasy'd out.  But instead imagine this same graphics engine, game play, etc. but in a sci-fi setting?  Imagine how cool something like Planetside would be with these graphics!

I had high hopes for Huxley, but now I hear that one is mostly instanced ala GuildWars - no thanks.

can someone shed some light on this... is this a sequel to mabinogi fantasy life?

and to jposavatz....  the reason the game needs to be instanced , so that u can have the awesome gameplay, if its an open world the lag would be impossible and every game will play like wow genius.

The game isnt a sequel, its based in the same world though.

What I like to believe, is that the cutesy little "Mabinogi" that we have right now is the so called "Paradise" that is talked about. That was what we were supposed to experience first, a 'paradise' of sorts to introduce us into the story of the game or such. Then, something occurs and destroys 'paradise', or reveals it was just a dream of the character we play, and we are forced into the 'real' world of mabinogi.

The trailer has two parts in which it talks about the goddess, Morrighan, and paradise. The first one asks her where is this paradise, then the second one is the character telling the goddess there never was a paradise. Sooo it leaves us to speculate. :P
