    • houses are a lot of gold and once you have one you have to pay upkeep every week. The house is attached to one alt so if you have many and use it for shifting items about thats fine but only the main alt has access to the mail box which is really annoying. apart from that is pretty boring feature. shame this game i think is going to plummet as there just is not lasting interest. 2 lvl 50's now and nothing much to do...next game

    • I think the housing is affordable at least on my server. I was checking out the prices for an individual basic house and it was a little over 1 gold with a 46 silver upkeep. I am checking out the trial account so I am not sure if I can even get one until I upgrade to the retail version but I already have over 1 gold in the game after just 3 days of playing. I don't think this is really a grinding game as the quests tend to provide the bulk of what I have made so far. Looking at the housing video and talking to people in the game I am really looking forward to getting a house. I don't think it will be as nice as the housing in SWG or EQ2 as those had lots of options and the ability to place items anywhere. I do like the idea of getting discounts at the local neighborhood vendors.

    • Not sure how the housing is because a house is so bloody expensive. You have to be an uber grinder to afford one.

    • ANY game I play long term must have housing and a good crafting system.LOTR finally is getting housing.I think that will attract new players and help keep current ones.

    • There really is no reason to have housing in LOTRO the way it is now. Like the Horse, too expensive and is not like living in Bree etc - Most things in LOTRO (Bank slots, Horses, and Houses for one are to expensive to use extensively.) The concept is good but I prefer it to be a bit less and would prefer more designs and shapes in each level of housing. I still love the game though so will continue but just won't have a house. /hugs. Cathowyn in game.

    • Turbine did a decent job on the housing. alot was left out so they could "improve" it. Some things that they left out to improve on should have been implimented right away. Such as alts being able to recall to the house. If its one house per account and not character there was no reason what so ever to leave it out. Static hooks are another thing that bothers me. I give LOTRO housing a 7/10. There are great ideas floating around from the devs but some basic stuff was left out.
