    • LOTRO is a great game and if they only advertised would be a huge success. Turbine treats its players very well. Always community events and festivals throughout the year. The game has TONS of content. Leveling to 50 you'll have plenty of quests left over. In the year the game has been out they've added content constantly. New zones and revamped old ones many times. Try the free trial. My only regret is I didn't start this game sooner.

    • The thing about natural light should be determined by a couple of things, time of day and where in the storyline you are. If you stumble into say, Durin's Tomb area and knock some bones down a well, I would expect things to get lighter as the goblin's bring torches and light fires to see to battle you. As Durin's Bane approaches, due to him being a Balrog, a creature of fire, I would expect the area to brighten up. All of that said, it is true to the story line that portions of Moria had natural light during the day and would get dimmer as the day progressed. I would say that Turbine has done extremely well representing Middle Earth to this point, and I'm excited to see how they are going to implement this next phase of the story. I'm sure that while artistic liberties will be taken to provide us with more fun, that we will also continue to be well surprised by their trueness to Middle Earth and Tolkien as a whole. I'm excited to see this coming.

    • Would have been better if they did something with wardrums in the introduction of the video. This hits its purpose though; I am definatly getting this expansion.

    • Looks ok. Doesn't scream AMAZING tho. I definatly am not going to purchase this though as LOTRO was ok till max level. Then it just got boring. ANd to the guy who talked about same MMO combat. You cannot make combat any better unless you get rid of the keyboard. Seriously, there is only so many ways you can smash keys on a keyboard. Maybe companies who put these MMO's out should come up with a periphial device to enhance combat. That would be a step in the right direction.

    • There are many different evironments in Moria it won't look the same. And there is a natural light in the mines beacsue the dwarves where able to direct sunlight into the mines using those crystals you see (Sort of like using mirrors)

    • not sure If i could stand a whole expansion underground all looking the same.

    • I really love this game. However, I am only sort of looking forward to MoM because only none of my toons are high enough level to go there yet. I may purchase it just to try out the new classes, though.

    • "Rated T for Teen" in the voice actor for Gandalf...hilarious! Looking good, can't wait to see more!

    • The best part I heard is that these new zones are going to be the size of the original game almost. That means this is going to be a massive dungen.
  • openedge1(posted Tue Sep 09 2008)
    • Turbine proves it has the best looking landscape based visuals of any game. The rest of the gameplay...not so much.

    • I couldn't get any sound from that video. I really like how expansive that dungeon looks.
  • mushroommunk(posted Tue Sep 09 2008)
    • Man, this game rocks, the expansion looks nice as well, @dippitydodah, the dungeon was abandoned by dwarves yes, but other creatures still inhabit it, and there are crystals and lava, i could believe it. AWESOME!

    • I cannot wait, Mines of Moria is going to be the best expansion pack ever for any MMORPG!
  • mylin1(posted Tue Sep 09 2008)
    • if your characters could look 10th as good as the world does it might help too
  • Micro_angel(posted Tue Sep 09 2008)
    • this game needs a combat-system remake now!!
  • dippitydodah(posted Tue Sep 09 2008)
    • that's a really well lit dungeon for being abandoned by dwarves.
  • Rhoklaw(posted Mon Sep 08 2008)
    • This is one of the best looking games out there, meaning graphics of course. PvE is actually pretty decent as is the crafting. If combat was a little more exciting, like WoW or AoC, than this game would definitely be rank #2 easily.
  • solareus(posted Mon Sep 08 2008)
    • That looks crazy big. The scaling of the ceiling is amazing. I'm glad I didn't sleep on this game :D !!!!
  • CujoSWAoA(posted Mon Sep 08 2008)
    • If only this fantastic game didn't have the typical old boring MMO combat.
