Lineage 2 News - Free Trials Are Back!

Posted by Michael Bitton on Feb 09, 2010  | 9 comments in our forums

NCsoft has announced that the 14-day free trials for Lineage II have returned. The free trial limits characters to reaching level 40 on up to three characters, but will, of course, save your data so that you can continue the same character(s) should you decide to subscribe.

The trial is hassle free, requiring no credit card details. Simply download, sign up, and play!

there are crazys that could do it in korea, personally in l2 id find it hard to get 1 char to lvl 40 in 14 days, its such a grind fest that all you do is go kill x amount of creatures for the whole time and theres not much of a side story or anything interesting going on in the early levels at least.

The grind was dramatically reduced awhile back, you can easily get a character to 40 within 14 days now.

Thanks for the update Mike :)

*nods*

If you do it the right way, with a few of your own level to do raids and catacombs, you can hit 40 in 10-15 hours maximum.

Don't waste your time. It's an awesome game...but it's a dieing game. It's mostly Player Shops (one thing I loved...go afk and never get kicked off for being afk). And as this is a "Use the Buddy System"-based game you'll want to have others to level with...because it's still a grind. Fastest way to level is to kill mobs; fastest way to earn adena (gold) grind repeatable quests.

FYI: The ONLY reason why I am saying to not play this game is because I feel it's on the verge of being yanked. Tabula Rasa I'm sure had sub-numbers similiar to Lineage II (North America), and it was cancelled. Remember NCSoft is primarily Eastern-Hemisphere, they only came over here for the money and if it's not profitable they'll pull it.

This shows the OFFICIAL (not some private), but the Official servers; I know the server names a different but that happened AFTER NC-North America updated and it caused the names that appear on the server selection to revert to pre-merged names

BTW: I rolled an Orc  Overlord (55) on Bartz stopped playing about a month ago. So I do know the scoop. And if you do plan on playing then you MUST HEED THIS: ROLL ON PHOENIX (NA); TEON(EURO) Those are the two most populated servers for their respective server cluster.
