No. The account must have been inactive prior to January 22nd, 2008.

Now I'm really confused, here is another excerpt from the Flying Labs announcement:

"...and is not available for accounts closed prior to January 22, 2008"

MikeB hasn't had his coffee yet. The ACTUAL announcement is:

"This offer is only available for Pirates of the Burning Sea accounts that have been closed and inactive since January 22, 2008, and is not available for accounts closed prior to January 22, 2008."

This means that you're account CANNOT be OLDER than January 22, 2008, and NOT inactive since before then.

No. The account must have been inactive prior to January 22nd, 2008.

That's the day the game came out, actually. Everyone was inactive before then.

  We'll if this helps, I played for the first 6mths and did some beta,Have'nt played since and received a notice in the mail to play my old carectors and transfer them before the server consolidation.I personaly have decided to let them die the quick death of server wipe.

Originaly backing the game 100% little was done on most of the sugestions of the beta players and forums.And I'm not much at giving my time to somthing that ended up being nothing like what ,At the time were good Idea's.

I just updated the winback information page on burningsea.com to be more clear. It now reads:

This offer is only available for Pirates of the Burning Sea accounts that were closed between January 22, 2008 and January 15, 2010

I hope that's a little more clear :)

interestingly, I've never played this game (only beta'd), I think I made a trial account before and never used it. However when I loaded up the Station launcher last night I noticed I had 26 days left to play. Seems like a fun game, so I'm not complaining, lol.

Is this supposed to happen, or am I part of some mishap?

Well. That's technically not supposed to happen, but don't worry about it - just have fun during your extended "trial" :D

HAHA, will do sir, will do.

I am thinking of comming back to try it, but unless they have made some drastic changes, I probably won't become a regular player.

there were many great suggestions made to help improve the game , but it never panned out!

It is a good solid basis , but needs tweaking alot :)

Well, we have done a lot of tweaking in the last two years, but I guess it really depends on when you left. You can get sense of some of the changes here.

We're also working on an expansion called Power & Prestige which is due for release later this year, and we're continuing to release updates every 5 weeks or so with tuning changes and content such as port battle maps.
