Posted May 21, 2009 by Keith Cross

The folks at ijji.com have announced that they have secured the North American publishing rights to Soul of the Ultimate Nation, an MMORPG developed by Webzen.

May 20, 2009 –Mighty dragons and formidable guilds will soon descend on ijji.com, the premier online destination for hardcore gamers. ijji.com has secured the rights to publish the epic fantasy massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) Soul of the Ultimate Nation in North America. In Soul of the Ultimate Nation, players align themselves with one of two warring dynasties, form a party among thousands of other gamers and embark on an epic battle to bring much needed peace to their respective kingdoms.

“Soul of the Ultimate Nation is a fast-combat MMO with a powerful storyline and incredible fantasy elements that will make a perfect addition to ijji.com,” said Philip Yun, CEO, NHN USA, which hosts ijji.com. “Not only does Soul of the Ultimate Nation bring a new facet of hardcore gaming to the portal, the epic game further reinforces ijji.com’s mission to elevate the level of game play experiences offered by an online portal.”

Soul of the Ultimate Nation is a fantasy MMORPG set in a world ravaged by thousands of years of war. After the crumble of seven kingdoms brought on the rise of two opposing dynasties, an uneasy peace was established. But due to the backhanded dealings and intimate secrets of the royal families, rumblings of revenge begin to resurface. Players will be drawn into the fast-paced game play, riveting cinematic graphics and complex plot of Soul of the Ultimate Nation, where they will battle the opposing nation in a heroic quest for freedom.

I don't see the announcement on the website you provided. All I can see is an update on May 21, 2009 about Huxley with  previous news being on May 19, 2009.

Probably be a while until they localize it considering how long it has taken Aion to get their locatization done.

Certainly is popular in the east though.

Wow interesting news. This game was one of the most interesting games for me,but i figured it was never coming over here.

This is weird if SUN beats Huxley out coming here first.I think this goes to show,Webzen is struggling to work with the UE engine. At the time SUN and Huxley were first introduced, graphics alone were near the top of the heap, however nowadays i don't think SUN will have anything over many other games. So this leaves us with content, and i highly doubt ANY Korean game knows how to produce content.I expect no voice overs,no cut scenes, pretty much nothing that takes effort to make, because games over there are made to get out fast and make money, this is also why they are famous for F2P design.Kortean games are famous for putting out 90% of their effort into the player weapons/armour and mobs, the actual world ,witch is the part that really brings a game to life is USUALLY static and empty.

I will not get overly excited because of what i expect from SUN,i expect a good looking game, with little content, probably the exact same setup as all other Korean games.Static buildings with quest NPC's standing in front of them, mainly a game to just go out and kill.Glowing weapons with spikey armour i expect all the same stuff,oh well ,i will wait and see if it is worth playing or not.
