    • New Screenshots by Italian Visitors
    • Screenshots look good. Nice to see a little evidence that it is somewhat playable. But why are the italian players speaking perfect(leet) english?

      Darkfall
    • Two testers to be unbound by the NDA.
    • Finally some good, possibly tangible news out of the Darkfall camp. Can't wait to see this, should be interesting, I just hope Aventurine doesn't find some way to make this completely vague and inconclusive about everything.

The game falls into the abyss.

Not all games start on the same part of the chain, and maybe the top is a little different, but the end is always the same.   My question is why if you don't like an MMO do you have to go around complaining about it on every forum as much as you can?  Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean other people shouldn't even try the game.  Your bad word of mouth is killing the industry because people, for some reason, actually care.  I personally could care less if you want to verbally slam WoW clones, but when a game like this comes along - we need to give it a chance!!

People complain about games they didn't like usually because they thought the game was bad, and don't think the developers deserve any more money for whatever reason they didn't like the game, or they want to prevent people from wasting their money like they thought they did, so they tell everyone they can that the game is bad. If the game was actually good, it could easily overcome any bad word it might get from a  few members.

The game promises so many things that we haven't seen in about 10 years that a whole ton of people want back.  If this game succeeds then we will see more MMOs that bring back hard mode, sandbox worlds, and variety.  Hate it or love it WoW is on top, everyone is trying to be WoW, so what does that mean?  Every MMO is a grind to end level, you raid, and then wait for the expansion pack to do it again.  We need to break the cycle and need fresh life breathed into the genre.

Here are some fun facts/ideas about MMOs:

MMOs are buggy at release - that's just the way it is.

No, no it's not just the way it is, it's the way you let it be. Nothing stops an MMO from being polished at release except for money. It is more profitable to release an unfinished game and let the customers pay while the devs finish it than it is to finish the game with no income. The only reason they get away with these tactics is because people like you make up excuses for them and let them.

Sometimes developers promise features and are forced to push them to release the game.
Don't freak out!!  If you have patience they will make it into the game!

      Nope, read above comment again.

Constructive feedback, bug reports, and new ideas help shape the game.  Yelling won't fix a bug, but telling the developers eventually will!

Not enough people playing?  Try saying postive things on forums about the game to draw players.

Research games before you buy/subscribe to them.  If you know what you are getting, then you will be harder to dissappoint.

I'm sorry if you disagree with what I am saying, but the point is to please have patience and the game could turn out to be everything you want and more.
