Ok, I did some more searching on the web, and I gotta say that I am VERY disappointed in how misleading that first article in the OP was. I found out at the Movies Online website, that P. Diddy wasn't planning on becoming the next James Bond, he was planning on playing a character LIKE James Bond. Completely different.

P.Diddy wants to be the first Black James Bond!
Posted By: / SourceOn Conan P.Diddy announced that he wants to be the next Bond.. James Bond.. or is that J.Diddy Bond? I dont know. Anyrate its pretty funny to me. Wouldnt that be a great way to kill the franchise but good. Anyrate LatinoReview put up an excerpt from the late night interview. Here is some of it:
Conan: I read that you wanna be the first black James Bond in the movies. Is that true?
Diddy: Yes. Definitely.
Conan: Change the name?
Diddy: Yes. It's a new time. We're taking the Bond imprint of what he stood for, but we gon' remix it. My name's gonna be Robert Ground.
Conan: So instead if saying: "Bond, James Bond." You're gonna say: "Ground, Robert Ground."
Diddy: Robert Ground. It's serious. I'm about to announce the deal next week.
Conan: Is Ground gonna be from England or is he gonna be from America?
Diddy: He gon' be from Harlem. It's America baby! This is our turn!
Conan: Is he gonna have Martinis?
Diddy: Everything. He's gonna be a younger version of Bond.
Conan: When are we gonna see this?
Diddy: It should be out in the next 20 months or so.
Conan: He's gonna be cool. Is he gonna need a side kick?
Diddy: He's gonna have a whole ensemble. It's gonna be a new way to tell it. It's gonna be edgier.
What do you think? I made fun of Jarule being in Assault on precinct 13 remake and had to eat crow when he did a pretty damn good job. Can. P.Diddy hold up playing a bond character? I dont know, guess we just gotta wait and see!

Now see this I can get behind in. He's creating his own version as opposed to trying to take over a role of an already established character. This is fine. I just wish that first Article posted on the first pagewould have been more clear. I almost feel like it was misleading on purpose.
The thing is... hasn't this already been done before? I thought that the xXx sequel was with a black secret agent. So, P. Diddy's efforts for a black secret agent movie isn't exactly "new" is it? (someone correct me if I'm wrong on the xXx sequel)
See that sounds great. I am totally for a new character. Something fresh would be a nice addition.

No one is going to compare Britney Spears and Elvis and say they are equally talented.
I will. Britney and Elvis actually have quite a bit in common. Elvis was not known simply for his singing ability, rather he became popular because of his looks and antics on stage and partly due to the advent of something called the television. Had Elvis been born about 20 years earlier, I doubt he would have become a household name. Elvis got a lot further off his looks and his pelvic thrusts than he did his singing ability. Now, don't get me wrong, Elvis could sing, but there were a LOT of people that could sing. Elvis became a legend because people liked to WATCH him sing. I fail to see how this is much different from Britney. The ONLY reason that Elvis lasted as long as he did was that he managed to not destroy his career like Britney has. He was better able to adjust to being a superstar than Britney. Britney would still be a huge superstar today if not for her psychological meltdown which is well documented.
Britney has never had anywhere near the number of hits that Elvis has. There is no Comparison.

Anyone trying to deny the Above will use the fact that World of Warcraft has won numerous critical acclaim from reviewers.
Don't you find it odd that after you make that statement you go on to list several reviews and awards that WoW didn't win.
Funny how you dismiss anyone for mentioning those things then you turn around and do the same thing.
Not at all. Gamestop's awards were Reader Choice awards. Meaning they aren't affected by the all mighty advertising dollar like so many "Critic Awards" are.
I also seriously doubt that Time Magazine was affected by Advertising either when choosing their top 10 Video Games of 2007. But too often that "100" or "5/5" next to World of Warcraft was bought and paid for.
20 Better?
Hmm... Maybe in their prime but currently at today's standards nah.
I can think of quite a few though. Personally if I had to rank MMOs past and present at their peak.
1. Asheron's Call 1
2. Dark Age of Camelot
3. Lord of the Rings Online
4. City of Heroes / City of Villians
5. Guild Wars
6. Everquest 2
7. Everquest 1
8. EvE (Even though it was never really the game for me)
9. World of Warcraft
So I would place 8 games ahead of World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft is extremely popular and even though Recant tries to dispute it, it is comparable to McDonalds or Britney Spears.
All three are super popular. All three have one awards. All three are Icons of Pop Culture.
And all three are fairly average.
Anyone trying to deny the Above will use the fact that World of Warcraft has won numerous critical acclaim from reviewers.
But then again so has Britney Spears. Being the best of a particular genre doesn't make you the best overall.
No one is going to compare Britney Spears and Elvis and say they are equally talented.
Just like World of Warcraft is not an equal achievement to many many other games (The Sims, Super Mario Brothers, Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Half Life, Doom, Quake, etc) It is only when you compare World of Warcraft in the sub genre of MMO games does it shine. Just like Britney shines in the "Pop" bubblegum princess category of Music or McDonald's does in the Fast food burger genre.
World of Warcraft isn't even Blizzard's best game by any means. (Diablo 1 & 2, Warcraft 1,2, & 3, are all good but Starcraft is by far Blizzard's greatest game to date).
Gamespot (while only one site) even shines light on what I am saying. World of Warcraft was not the Game of the year for 2004 for the PC (that was Half Life 2) and over all the game of the year for 2004 was Halo 2.
In 2005 it was Resident Evil 4.
Another good example is 2007 when The Burning Crusade released. Lord of the Rings Online beat it for the Golden Joystick award for 2007 PC Game of the Year.
Another great example:
http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/top10/article/0,30583,1686204_1686305_1692236,00.html
Halo 3 was the Time Magazine Game of the year in 2007. (Even Blizzard's at that point millions of subscribers didn't sway the critics for Time Magazine. World of Warcraft's The Burning Crusade didn't even make the list of top 10 games of 2007) Bioschock and the Orange Box both made the list for 2007.
