1. Stormreach is set in world of Ebberon, that is new setting for pen and paper. How you say, forgotten realms or to be more precise land of Faerun is no longer in development in offices of wizards of the coast so everything is set in Ebberon, books, novels and yes games.
Wrong. Eberron was the new setting, and most new stuff was set in Eberron for a while, but Forgotten Realms was never abandoned. It now looks like Eberron is the one being shut down. All the campaign material released for the new 4th edition so far has been Forgotten Realms; Tieflings have even become a standard 4th edition race.

Guild wars?
Final Fantasy XI. That's an Eerie Cloak, the new Halloween event item introduced this year. Hurry up, it's the last day you can get one, at least this year. (FFXI loves Halloween event items, there's more than for any other holiday. In the first photo she's sporting another Halloween event item, a Trick Staff (or a Treat Staff, they look identical)).

Dont know about the NPCs..but in FFXI Day and Night and the element of the day affect gameplay.
At night undead will pop and you can only do some things at night. Each day is assigned a element, and on that day depending it effects things like spells and such, maybe crafting I couldnt confirm that. Also some weapons give bonuses during the day, and some give them at night.
so...while not directly related to the NPCs it does add in another mechanic that most other (if not all) MMOs don't.
Figured I would go ahead and contribute =D
Actually, while NPCs stay in same place always (a few actually walk a beat) and most shops are 24/7, the guild shops actually do close daily on a schedule and take one day a week off as a holiday. Since FFXI time runs at 25 times Earth normal, this isn't so bad, you rarely have to wait more than half an hour Earth time for one to open and never as long as an hour and a half. Oddly, the shopkeeper doesn't go anywhere; he just stands there and tells you they're closed.
Perhaps, if you are going to rant about misnomers, you should actually post some. Except for the first one, these are not misnomers because they are not terms but statements.
Final Fantasy XI is best PvE game out there at the moment, IMHO. It's hard for me to name a least favorite; I've been at least mildly pleased with just about all the MMORPGs I've played (helps that I don't play stuff at release; makes it easier to avoid the dogs). Maybe Dark Age of Camelot, but I'll freely admit I didn't give it much of a chance, sheerly through lack of time.
How many MMORPG titles are you currently subscribed to?
