Thanks for the tip. I haven't tried the other one yet. But, just out of curiosity, when you install BuffThrottle are the default settings already set to 0.5? I know you need to type /script BuffThrottle = 0.5 (or whatever you choose for the setting), but do you need to do this every time you log in?
When you install Buffthrottle the default is 0.5, so you need to type /script BuffRefreshDelay = 1.
You only need to do this the 1rst time, and to be sure you can always type:
/script BuffThrottle.Verify()
this tells you if it's properly working and what refresh delay it is using (0.5, 1 or whatever).
This is an insane patch, let's hope it works.
suck the life out of FPS for some reason. I've recently tried buffthrottle and it seemed to help some, but not entirely.
Buffthrottle is a great addon. Before I tried it I was having massive lag in big fights and was avoiding doing scenarios and large keep battles. After I began using it, all my lag suddenly disappeared and I advised a couple of friends to get them and had the same result.
Try Infthrottle as well as Buffthrottle. I don't know which of them is contributing the most to my lag free sessions because I installed them both (along with updating my VGA driver) at the same time.

In September, AOC launched a big pvp patch that was hyped for months. The populations of the servers almost doubled....... for 3 days..... then it went down below the level it was before the patch.
There was a lot of hype for the 'new classes'. But I don't think it will take long for people to realize they are the same classes that were pulled before launch because they weren't very good. They have now been brought back in nearly the same state as they were in July. Of course people with an active subscription who don't play are going to log back in and give them a try. The new classes are at best, even with the most unpopular classes in the game. There is nothing about the new classes that is going to make a person who already quit, decide to resub. The increase you are seeing is people with an active account who no longer play, or barely play, same as the AOC patch.
Telling people to 'play them til teir 4' is just a way to sucker them into resubscribing. The game did not get drastically better in teir 4 for the other classes, no reason it will for the two 'new' classes.
Total failure of a post, shear speculation on your part. You have done somewhat better in the past in some of your posts, but not today.
Try to ad something worthwhile for once.
Actually I agree with Peaquop. PLZ don't compare a game that at least works, with AoC. Thx. ![]()
Yep, Resubbing. If only to see what t4 ORvR is like, but I'm having fun as it stands.
BTW just to point out (as others have done already): This game is the worst game ever on a low pop server, but it can be insanely fun on a med/med 1. Be warned! :)
Aside from questing, what do you spend most of your time doing in-game?
