Sick of those posts, really.
You had a point till you started exaggerating and saying "No but I play other games and they don't have those issues.". You just forget to add that those games are 4 years old while Warhammer is 1,5 month old only.
Also, you people who can't buy another 1gb socket of ram make me sad. If you have internet you probably can afford a 13$ ram socket so you stop crashing so often. My specs are: Athlon Dual Core 4400+/ ATI X1550 512mb eXtreme/ 4x 1gb (800) Kingston sockets. Know how many CTD's I had since release? Zero. Shame on you gamers who can't even turn on a computer and go around complaining that your wodden waggon can't carry some kilos of pineapples.
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.4GHz here, 4 gig RAM, GTX280 1GBvRAM, Watercooled, 800 Watts PSU. Initially crashed every time entering Altdorf, stuck during scenario entry, occasional CTD. This got better, though its NOT because of low system specs, it's a client dependend thing.
Games I experience that had a smoother start than WAR, from _only_ a technical viewpoint:
LotRO - May 2007 (EU release), no crashes at all, eploit mode prevented animation/pathing bugs.
WoW - February 2005 (EU release), malfunctioning teleporting sometimes, some server downs, but no freezes and no CTDs.
DaoC - January 2002 (EU), very occasional freezes, nothing else I could remember atm.
Everquest 2 - November 2004, server downtimes, little lag, no CTDs or freezes ever.
You're right though, you can't compare to games that have been out for years in their current state. Still, you don't have to, see above...

Thanks a lot Meridion for posting a correctly in terms of comparation.
I do agree that I didn't have problems with LoTRO when it launched. Most issues included bugged storyline quests but they didn't affect me gameplay negatively a lot thought. As for DAoC I didn't have such a positive experience upon release. I would often have lag spikes and some spell bugs, and would also have to relog pretty often in order to reajust some character bugs. World of Warcraft didn't gave me a terrible gameplay experience upon release, but it wasn't nice either. My NE hunter kept facing mechanical problems (pet problems sometimes too) and it had way too many exploits upon release (which as far as I'm concerned, Warhammer has few as of now).
But my experiences are based on US releases thought. Just sharing experiences, thanks again for your post.

World of Warcraft was a fairly bugfree game upon release. And when a game is released you should release a full bugree game, not a buggy crashfest and then fix it a few patches later. How would, for example, Fallout 3 be greeted by the community should it constantly crash, freeze and half of the missions and items be buggy? Would people then defend it and say it was just 1,5 month old? No. How can we as players accept that developers rush the production and release half-done games, both content and bugfreeness wise? I'd say that no matter the age of a game it should be very much free from bugs and game crashes.
Then you sir are just claiming that you are an uninformed being yourself. First by saying that WoW was bugfree upon release (train dupe, gryphon bugs, falling zepellins, just some out of my head). And secondly by comparing a subscription game with a non-subscription one. Games without subscription/ item-mall/ official game servers usualy don't launch in a very decent shape, however they launch patches in order to fix most issues (even RTS games suffer from imbalance and some issues upon release and get patched later). I don't recall playing MMO's at launch that didn't need fix patches. Or else fix patches would exist at all, smarty. Now saying that "but Final Fantasy IV was bugfree and Ultima Online still has dupes nowadays".. That made your post be one of the worsts I've seen on these forums so far.

Six of my friends quit WoW for Warhammer. All of them chose "Other" as reason for canceling subscription instead of "I'm moving to Warhammer". None of them went back to WoW. So what's the point really?

I was able to get in game and take a quick screen shot.
As the above poster said.. This is nowhere near EQ2.
