    Respawn at your bind point, with basic starter gear.

    No idea honestly whats going to happen. If it is a good product which I hope it is, then WOot. As far as the problems go, if 30 people can develop it I am not sure why 30 people can't maintain it. GNi will take care of the server side of things lol this is what they do and the whole reason Aventurine signed them. So they have help from GNi server side...

    Launching problems I am not understanding. If you are reffering to bugs and chit, yeah just as likely to have them as every other MMO has had them. If you mean from a publishing perspective, they have a publisher for 50 countries... so they have help there to.

    They also developed there own game engine and dev tools. If they really can use these tools to make a patch every month and an expansion every year then I don't think they will need much help from the Tech side of things. So far this is what they claim.

    So all in all we will just have to wait and see. Seems like they have help where they need it and they seem confident they can do the patching, expansions and everything fine. So , guess we just have to wait and see. I wouldn't say 100% either way to be honest. I am more 60/40. I am 60% certain they will pull it off fine and 40% worried they will botch the whole thing.  Just don't do the blind faith thing you see a lot of these trolls are doing and you should be fine. Never have blind faith in anything, success or failure.

    They have a background in playing AC1 so expect updates and events on amonthly basis like you used to get with AC1.

    Darkfall is the most controversioal game on mmorpg.com, possibly the internet..

    I can tell you that the dev's are oldschool UO/AC players.. and they want to make a game that us oldschoolers will love...

    from the recent videos, it appears as everything promised is in..

    this post will be torn apart by trolls probably.. but just ignore them.. IMO there is a very godo chance this game is gonna be great..

    
     

    Nice summary and accurate insight that most of the trolls seem to ignore. Don't worry about flamers they hold no value.

    You need to go read up on the game , it is pro soloing, has a vast world for PvE and questing.

    It also has Open PVP and FFA looting but if you think that means PvP everywhere you are wrong. Grouping with any other than clan mates will be a death wish. The penalties for killing solo players wnd the loot gained in general just will not be worth it.

    Sound like you will find this out though

    I love it also. Topic should say "What will Darkfall mean to AoC IF it gets released.

    Seeing as this is never going to happen, I think Satan will be quite cozy in the fire. No snowflakes in his forcast.

    I'm still trying to figure out why for the love of baby jesus people think this game is ever going to hit a store shelf. There have been better games in the last 5 years set for release with real companies backing them that get scrapped at the last minute.

     

    Then here comes DF with such a small player base of niche players that actually want to play it, what distributer in their right mind would ever put money into this game oops I mean garbage. Lose of profit if you ask me, better money spent elsewhere.

    There was a time, a long time actually, that I followed and looked forward to Darkfall...

    Here is how I am forced to look at it now.  

    The amount of time this game has been in development and how little they have to show for it.... If they were competent the game would went beta / release at least a year ago.... What was it two or three years ago they actually sent out guild beta invites and said beta would start that fall / winter??.

     At this point even if the game does see the light of day I have zero faith that the developers are competent enough to address any issues that will arise.   I miss sandbox but I wont touch this game.

     

     

    Agreed, I know the game exist, as in there is some data somewhere on a computer that someone can play. This game however ever seeing daylight, slim to none, and if it does, the player base will be so small they will shut it down in 6 months time tops.

     

    People can say what they want, and praise what they want, DF hasn't shown or proven anything to me, except it is still not out, still developed in the stone age using stone age technology. If anything it has shown me what NOT to play or expect.

    DF is a posterboy for the deprived sandbox community. Sad thing is, they will never get it, and if they do, it won't be worth their time.

     

    I feel for them I really do, I wish they had a good sandbox. DF just.... isn't it.
