didnt they spend a whole ton of money on this space game?
Rumors were as high as 100 million spent on the game before launch but were never proven as fact.
But in the last report for NCSoft income the royalty figure for TR was -500 million Kron.
whats a kron? korean dollar?
and thats what i really liked about D&D you could try anything you wanted, and the DM could also improvise too.
you could play through the same dungeon dozens of times and it would never be the same.

Do "sandbox" games run the risk of being labeled as games that lack content and the only thing players can do is make up their own activities? :(
ya, i guess they do
many people want to be led like sheep or told what to do
No, I think it's that some people don't want to have to work in their games.
After a long day of work, many people just want some simple, relaxing entertainment to unwind, not spend huge amounts of effort, energy and creative juices just to play a game. Heck, one could argue that people with that to spare would be better off applying those things to real life, not a game.
well thats the beauty of a true sandbox, you do whatever you like
if you want to just sit there and run the sand through your fingers and toes thats fine too

Ultima Online wasnt a flop...not until EA began tinkering with it
i would call EVE a success too - thats the route that Darkfall needs to take, make a good game and stick with it...
...i only hope that is the reason they are taking so long and showing nothing.
but it's hard not to wonder other things...
UO wasnt a flop because it was one of the first big scale MMOs.. If the game were re released today.. it would be a flop. It got demolished by EQ then and would be demolished by WoW , WAR , EQ2 , LOTRO ect. now.
The history of MMOs shows what the majority wants and what they do not want. The flops of PvP games show that MMO gamers do not want or care about gankfests. Hence how Trammel kept UO afloat.
bull, it wasn't a flop because it was an excellent game
it did not get "demolished" by EQ until EA changed it to be similar to EQ

whats the deal with all these Warhammer posters in every forum?
the answer is quite simple
EA = warhammer sucks
What does that have to do with anything? They really don't have much to do with the game itself.
EA has everything to do with it and their past history proves it
every company they have ever bought out they have taken over, told what to do, and then eventually shut down when a disagreement comes up
the title of this thread is complete crap - WoWs numbers will never be threatened as long as EA continues to churn out crummy generic MMOs and its ridiculous to even speculate that WoWs numbers are in "deep trouble"
this thread must have been created by an EA shill
What is your favorite of EVE's four major factions?
