I hope they do, the less SWG vets we have playing this the better, they are all looney toons.
I hope you like playing more of the same, because that's all you're ever going to get with that kind of attitude.
For the last five years, all we have seen is the same old crap rehashed, simplified, and repackaged as something new.
SWG vets such as myself, were spoiled by the awesomeness and at the same time, the wasted potential that was SWG. SOE underestimated the ability of their market to actually put time and energy into a character and really make it unique.
Frankly, players like you do nothing but allow game developers to hash out the same old crap again and again.
What we need is a complete change in how our society in general understands satisfaction. Everything is designed around instant gratification in our society. Whether it be entertainment, religion, work, whatever, fewer and fewer people seem to understand the deep satisfaction that comes from sustained effort.
I'm still an atheist .... but .... Amen !!
Why is it that the current mmo gamers market accepts companies pushing out these boring, same old same old, beta products .... where are the days were these same companies actually had to work their butts off, and be different anc creative to attract gamers in the first place.

From what I'm hearing, there's likely to be some kind of instanced sandbox aspect. The most anticipated is guild space stations... oh yeah.
They should reverse that .... have a sandbox with instances and themeparks ![]()

The same blabla as Age of Conan .... You're a hero ... story driven .... bla bla bla ...
Half the AoC players i spoke told me that questing for them in AoC is pressing 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 The only reason they love the main story line quests is for the stat-rewards.
Half the kotor /ME players i spoke told me the same ... they read the first few quests ... then just start randomly clickingas it gets to dreadfull to read.
I think only few people have the interest or attention span to read the quest text, all the rest doesn't care and only wants to kill, loot and socialise. Preferably in the way they choose. A "day-in-the-life-of" so to speak.
This game whill hold it subscribers for maximum a few months, story telling gets old fast. While an open world might maybe attract less people, those will stay for years, and they will tell and create their own stories.
This really surprises me. Not, that most AoC players don't read the quest texts and miss out on a great part of the game, because the story telling is actually quite good. Most of them are just PvP players, who want to get to endgame as fast as possible. ![]()
But you claim, that people playing Bioware games are the same. Why then do they play ME or Jade Empire etc? The best part of these games is the story, is the interaction with the other characters. This is what Bioware is about. If you just want to kill and loot things why not play a good FPS? When I talk to fellow players they all rave about the story lines. That is their main reason for playing these games. So, I am not sure, I agree with you about the typical Bioware customer.
I am a Bioware fan and I'm looking forward to a Bioware mmo, that draws on their own strengths. I am very curious on how they want to incorporate this in an mmo, but perhaps this will be the innovative part of the new game... ![]()
Indeed .. Bioware is not the same .... people that play it are though ![]()
I am Bioware fan too ... but for their singleplayer games .... i would hate it if they would put that concept into an MMO, as i'm looking for very different aspects in an MMORPG then i am for example in Kotor.
So ... indeed ... let's wait and see.

Sorry I laughed out loud at your horrible attempt to bundle SWTOR with AoC. I agree most people(including my self) just pushed 1 over and over, but that was only because it did not matter what line you chose. The fact you say people only did the stories for the loot is the funny part though. I will give you the benefit of the doubt but you obviously never played the game to 80 if you think loot did anything in this game. The loot from the destiny quests gave nothing but garbage and a tiny amount of permanent stat boosts.
No one did the destiny quests for loot, no one did the quests for loot, hell you barely even needed armor to begin with. How can you possibly put SWTOR in the same catagory as AoC knowing this? Please, next time try use something other then your biased opinion.
You are correct ..... it is my opinion :) and it might even be biased, which is not that rare on a forum.
I thought i editted my previous post from rewards into stat-rewards, but it seems i didn't. Indeed armor, and itemisation in general was not that great in AoC. Those epic quests were fun... but the story telling part was 1,1,1,1,1,1,1. Heh, the number of times i've seen people complain on the forums because they selected the wrong stat reward because they were bashing 1 proves my case ;)
What i'm comparing here btw (not categorising, that's your opinion) is the story driven element heroic part , not the game as a whole. In my opinion the few people that care to read the quest, will loose there interest soon ... only a few hardcore readers might actually read it all.
Ps: I'm pleased i could amuse you, i always like to make people laugh ![]()
They are targetting for the Epeen market ![]()
