    But didnt this guy get a cease and desist from Blizz...then turned around and sued them?

    If so I believe he could of kept the money and run.

    Even though I havent played MMOs in a while, I would still like to see all gold sellers/botters removed from all the games.

    When I am playing, I wanna be going thru the same things to get items/money...vs knowing where to get the cheat codes and using RL money if I wanna do good.

    Cheating is cool in single player games IMO if that is what you wanna do...it takes on another face when others are involved.

    It wont stop it entirely...but it would end it on this site.

     

    This is supposed to be a site about MMOs, and news pertaining to them.

    Not a glorified "hate club". That is grade school BS.

    MMORPG.com would be a lot better place if this stuff wasnt allowed. Instead it gives credence to folks like Jestor...who wouldnt receive the time of day on nearly any other site.

    I am sure some law enforcement agencies would love to get their hands on the vets posts from this site the past 3 years. From those alone you would find conspiracy to destroy property(the ones that used to damage game boxes on shelves and call upon others to as well), threats made to SOE(Wildcats threat of website if SOE didnt open classic servers), general hate inspired actions, and IP infringement...or whatever else.

    These are just things off the top of my head.

    When Jeff died it took on a real face around here.

    Put an end to it Stratton.

    Make this a site about present/future games...not wallowing in the past.

    That is very narrow minded of you, wanting these forums removed because you don't agree with some posters. If you don't like these threads than don't read them. Some of the people here are trying to educate others about what type of company SOE is. You can find just as much 'hate' on the official forums.

    As far as Jeff goes, he obviously had other issues he was dealing with. No one knows what other than himself and his family. Trying to place the blame on anyone in this forum is ridiculous.

    He was lambasted. You could tell it bothered him by him bothering to show up to post...he was viewed as akin to the anti-christ. Here he works in the industry, and everywhere his reputation didnt just take a hit...it was torn apart.

    It didnt go on for 6 months or a year either...we are talking a couple months short of 3 yrs and the whining is still going on. These "vets" keep dibs on everyone involved, hoping to get another chance to cause em grief I would imagine.

    Ask one of their "elite" members where Nancy or Julio is working presently...I bet they can answer without missing a beat.

     

    All that place does is foster hate...and now things have gone too far.

     

    I dont care if it was only a micro-fraction of concern to him...it is rediculous it has gone on this long.

    Enough already. The fact someone would mouth off in his RIP post stating he didnt "suffer enough"  says it all.

    Everyone not realizing how serious a matter this is must not of ever lost someone close to them in a similar manner.

    It is time for it to end...and it never will as long as that forum exists. It may not curtail it entirely...but it can be done away with on this site.

    Which is what should matter to the other posters here. A site for discussions...vs a site to cry over 3 yr old spilled beer.

    Er, and one of those folks would be, you.

    No one is to blame for a person killing themselves except, that person.  For whatever reason they are pursued by personal demons that overtake them to the point the exiting this world seems like a sound idea.

    Family, friends, co-workers and even those who posted hated filled messages on forums like this are not to blame for this, and they shouldn't think that they are.

    Yeah the bottom line belongs with the person taking their life. I agree.

     

    But that doesnt diminish the contributions by others leading up to it.

    Several months back Jeff showed up to the forums trying to make peace with the vets.

    Although some were understanding, others ripped him a new one. In the thread on these general brds ,about his death, someone was piping up about the damn game there as well.

    Enough already.

     

    MMOs are games...made by real life folks.

    The "vets"  have complained for nearly 3 years. 

    I sure didnt see comments by Jeffs family...and if indeed they did respond, then I am sure they were not aware of how folks treated him. "Hey thanks guys...Jeff is dead and you treated him like chit...but thanks for your two-faced words after the fact".

    I am sure they would of been less than "friendly" had they known how he had been treated.

    A man is dead. By his own hand or not isnt what is important...it showed the vets hating on him bothered him when he took several days to try to patch things with em.

    Yet his efforts were wasted on a number of em...till he finally quit trying.

    All those vets can attempt to take solace in the fact "he killed himself"...but to me the bottom line is they were wishing ill will on the NGE crew all along. Well their wish finally come true.

    And as the RIP thread on this forum shows...there are some that still wont shut up about it.

    The hate forums need to be removed from MMORPG.

  • I dont care if it was directly responsible for Jeff Freemans depression or not....there is no doubt that his time there trying to make peace with the "vets" affected him.

    Several of them treated him like a dog. He tried in vain to make ammends with the mob.

    All that forum is about is hate. Yet MMORPG continues to foster it, by providing a place to those that refuse to let go almost 3 years later.

    Enough already....these folks have their own sites to wallow on.

    A mainstream MMO site shouldnt be providing this type of atmosphere on their forums.

    Is it going to take another person going off the deep end to get the message thru?

    MMOs are games. Period.

    Even if they are drastically changed, it shouldnt be a reason for a lynch mob to keep after those responsible for nearly 3 years. And there is no way on earth a MMO site should be allowing that type of mentality to frequent their site.

    Maybe if a member of Jeffs family were to sue MMORPG it would get the point across...cause nothing else has seemed to change the status quo around here.
