Recently I have been playing Neverwinter Nights 2 again, and it has me thinking that it's been far too long since I've enjoyed a good fantasy book.
Please feel free to share your recommendations of any fantasy book(s), but in light of the time that I've been spending in NWN2 lately I'm particularly curious about (semi-) recent Forgotten Realms books.
Your thoughts are appreciated :D

Would you pre-order Duke Nuke'em Forever based solely on the assurance of the "developers" that it's almost finished (for real this time)? (aka, without a playable demo)
It's basically the same question.

I just had to quote this. Now that's a way to answer.
Personally I own a 360, but I regret having bought this instead of the PS3.
On the flip side, the 360 has a lot of sports titles, so if you're into that... to be honest, the OP's post was such a wall of text that I didn't read it.
My vote, though, is the PS3. I have the 360, but I would gladly trade it in for a PS3 to be honest.
Laters.

John: We would be happy to do that. The question is, is there enough of a subscriptions base for that. I'm anxious to play that game too, I think they're going to make a great game. Is there still going to be a subscriptions base for Galaxies, or will everyone go play the new game? I'd like to think the games are going to be very different and I think that definitely could happen.
WHAT? There is not enough of a Subscription Base NOW , but Smed and SOE like to kid them selves and the few thousand players left that there is. They must be a jolly lot over at SOE to exist in such a fantasy world of business disbelief.

BTW, isn't the inability to distinguish reality from fantasy a sign of insanity?
Insanity is a legal term. It's basically referring to someone who did not know right from wrong, reality from unreality, either at the time of the trial or the time of the crime. This is kind of slippery to nail down though because each state has their own twist on what is and what is not insanity. Click here for more info.
In psychology you diagnose a problem, find its roots, and attempt to fix those problems as much as possible. "Psychotic" is the general term used in psychology to describe someone who has lost touch with reality. Click here for more info.

The combat was impressive, and the game looks like it'll have the fast pace action of an FPS.
What I didn't see was any grouping (I think there wasn't anyway...) and definitely nothing to suggest quests or things to do other than fighting. So the impression is more like it's a fantasy 3rd person twitch combat game with very impressive graphics and some decent action.
Not a bad thing all in all. It's good to have difference choices.
