couple tips that may help, definitely make sure you defrag your hard drive. Since your underpowred do a fresh reboot before you start playing so all your memory is free. Also try and make sure most backround services or programs aren't running when you play.

- Can you convince me to come back to lotro?
I don't know solares, I have seen quite a few posts where people say the game didn't really grab them the first time and for whatever reason they get hooked the 2nd try. If you played before you can play for free for a few days so try it out and see if it's more your cup of tea now.

Yeah the discs have both versions. When you install choose the high res option verses standard.
