  • Yep what wumptrooper said, Claus was the creator of Darkfall and is the lead developer, there are 4 others who are also developers  originally from the start under Razorwax that still work on the project.

    Tasos is only their PR guy and part investor/owner, he has no previous experience or qualifications in actual game development.

  • Tasos is really getting desperate now, on the first day of the last month of this year.

    Instead of updating the community about this “schedule for open beta to end in early December” or this “official company commitment to launch within the year”

    He posts a link to a beta preview his friend is doing under NDA on a website Aventurine hosts.

    The amazing thing is some people even thank him for this and ask for more.

    Or still believe open beta and a successful launch have any chance of happening this year.

    And remember if your not in beta yet, don’t take it personally, its likely you don’t fit their immediate testing needs, there are a lot of criteria, but they can be as simple as

    You being a member of Darkfalls community staff
    You being a close personal long term friend of the developers
    You being a long term supporter associated with the developers
    You being willing to fly to Athens to visit Aventurine
    Your website is hosted by Aventurine

    This is exactly what the supporters said about the MMORPGItalia beta review as well, they said it was not the full review, but of course it was.

    The truth is this is all they have to talk about, because this is all there is to do in the game.

    They are getting wiped regularly and they only have goblins, some quests to kill goblins and rudimentary crafting and resource gathering in the starting areas to talk about.

    There is currently nothing else in this feature complete and almost ready to release game 1 month from its launch deadline.

  • NeroScuro I think you have me confused with somebody else, I’ve never been banned.

    Game has been in beta for years according to the developers, this is the third time they have officially said beta is starting and second time I have signed up for beta, not to mention years of beta “soon”, this is nothing new.

    Getting their friends to preview their game under NDA with only 1 month left to meet their official company commitment to launch and a few days before open beta is scheduled to end is just another pathetic whimper in my opinion.

    Just because they let a few more of their friends and moderators into the testing this time is not exactly anything to get excited about, in fact it shows just how little progress they have made in over 8 years, they are still only in very early beta stage.

    Nor is the fact that even with their friends and supporters previewing their feature complete and almost ready to launch game its painfully obvious how misleading they are still being about this games true state of development.

  • At least this person declared their association with Aventurine outright this time, instead of just pretending they were honest and unbiased.
