the core design isn't ill conceived. Its designed to be instanced so we can have good graphics without sub coming to huge latency issues.
The alt tab bug is easily fixed. People just need to delete their shader cache and then load up AoC and it'll patch it. The bug is caused by the game no updating correctly, or shutting down correctly. Same thing with falling through the world. Random look-ups? If you mean the lag spikes those are continued to be solved, some minor issues have come up since Direct X was updated. Also, most people don't keep their ui mods up to date which causes issues as well. I haven't had the game freeze and I'm not playing on a top end machine.
And if I said its been fixed since patch X thats because the game doesn't crash or do OOMs unless you do something weird like close out the vent over lay without closing vent first. For some reason that causes the game to crash, but that's a compatibility issue with the overlay and AoC not really a AoC problem.
The core design felt static and claustrophobic from the first day. Just look at all who left and will never come back, and forget your own praise of the game for a second.
If players themselves have to go delete file folders in order to "fix" AoC properly, then "paying to beta" comes to mind. That does not sound like good game coding.
Unless, unless unless.. AoC is a damn good game "unless" you... "insert here". Make the game work like so many other games. Stop blaming Windows, or Ventrilo or whatever and start doing their game code right. Since other games does not have those issues, why should AoC?
As much as I hate to tell this I have to do it cos I experience it directly more than just once while I was a subscriber. All there is to say is really, FC customer support made me sick of the game, even before the game got on my nerve. Thats somthing to think about. ![]()
I am sorry FC, I do not hate you guys. I am sure you are trying to do your best. I think the word "unconsciousness" would describe why some MMO companies will fail and others not failing. Remember, if you cant listen to your customer base, you will run out of the business quite fast.

AA, does it say part of being a cooresponant is to go through every post that doesnt priase the game and try to defend Funcoms faults?
I say just be a correspondant and post info like you've been doing, and leave the calling people trolls, pointing out their post history, alt accounts and pretty much calling them liars out of it..
Just an idea..
with the amount of mis information on the web I'm not surpised that he acts this way. People that stopped playing the game in june/july still think the game is in the same sad shape it was in then and that FC is still full of lies and empty promises. Its not on both points.
Well it is, unless they changed the game/gfx engine too. Stickyness/static/claustrophobia is some word describing this, and I doubt it can be changed, ever. DX 10, pvp, more content will never fix those things. Just try WoW and you will see that your character does not feel like a chopping-block. Also, did they remove the annoying fatalities that you grow tired of cos they are too unsynced with the action? And what about the arrow direction for making combos?
I am not trying to be negative, just realistic. Why do you think AoC lost so many subs? Please, all I want you is to stop lieing and saying the game is fine. The numbers speaks for themselves. There are issues that will never be fixed. There are exploits that people got away with doing. My whole guild exploited the game back in July, without consequences. The economy seemed fucked, the UI did not fit the world settings correctly. And the most important error, having unprofessional GM's working. The message FC are sending out is a very mixed one. In one hand they hype hype hype, and in the other hand they do not deliver. Most people live in the hype world, and are praising the game in a desperate hope it will help the game get better. I gave the game 1.5 month and thats enough to see the core of it, which is an unchangeable part of the game.

So moral of this financial adventure:
- Azrile can't pull magic numbers from his ***.
- Funcom is profitable. The game is far from dieing and only improving.
- WoW still sucks.
GG
WoW got over 11 million subs and probably more now when WotLK has been released. If you think WoW sucks, fine, but you are denying the reality my friend. Numbers speak for themselves.
A fanboi is a fanboi, if he was the only one left playing AoC after everyone left in frustration, he would still praise the game for how much better it is. All this without realizing the reality. Again, the numbers do the job.
