  • I have seen some crazy stuff in Eve and Im not going to say just lag. I think it was just bad luck...in Eve it is bound to happen eventually. It is possible.

    You warped to a planet-people do that.

    You warped to 70-I warp to either 70 or 100.

    A nano cruiser could get into warp in 5 seconds.

    Throw in some lag and poof he just so happens to pick the same planet at the same distance...bad things happen to good people...just bad luck is all.

     

    OR it was another dev cheating...

    Agreed. At 15 years of existance in the world he should know better. There is just no accounting for taste or natural selection.

    Edit: For the record I am in no way saying Eve needs a ground game, I'm just wondering.  Personally I'm happy with eve getting Walk in stations with a few minigames to pass the time when im bored. I don't need full planetary territory control, eve is a great game as is.

    
     

    Ok, first let me say that CCP has said alot of things over the years that they still have not made happen. That being said I would think a RTS type with divisions and platoon level would make more sense for the Eve universe. If it is an FPS then it should be like someone else said where pod pilot game and planetary game are seperate games connected only by where space meets the upper atmospher. Pod pilots should only fly vehicles and your ground pounder alt only flys a BFG9000. Ground alt should have his own skill training and you should be able to train on both main and alt at the same time.

    and yes I will keep playing regardless.

  • The game simply felt more like online paintball than an MMORPG. The principle seemed sound the game just felt thin and unexciting.
