    • Why isn't there more hype about The Chronicles of Spellborn?
    • It shouldn't be that hard to hype Spellborn, from their perspective.

      1)Release screenshots regularly

2)Have a contest in beta to see who can come up with the best vid clip.  Winner gets released every month.

3)Do an interview with free online gaming sites once a month or so, giving updates, discussing features, etc.

4)Do sneaky stuff, like have pretend you are an nda breaker and anonymously leak cool stuff.  Or they could pretend they are a friend of a friend that works on the game, and release insider info...bla bla bla.

There are busy bodies fanboys around here that could have marketed their game for free better than they did.

      The Chronicles of Spellborn
    • What a shambles.
    • If it's not one thing it's another.  MMO companies seem to be on a self destructive streak.

As an American, this won't affect me.  But I feel bad for my european gaming brothers and sisters.  I could see how this could ruin the appeal of the game for some.

    • Apathy.  Folks have had their say and now they don't care.  Everyone has their opinions, no need to beat a dead horse.

    • I didn't sleep for three days once.  I was working my way through college, and between work and school I didn't have time to sleep.   I started to hallucinate which at the time was a bit scary but in retrospect was kinda cool.

One hallucination was a black horse riding out into the middle of the street.  Then I blinked and it was gone.  The other thing I saw was a man staring at me from across the street wearing a full body yellow raincoat with the hood pulled over his head.  I blinked and it actually turned out to be a yellow pole about waist high.

Later when I finally made it home and was able to sleep, I was dizzy and nauseas.  I jerked upright atleast three or four times wretching, but luckily I didn't vomit.  When I fell asleep it felt like being smothered to death.  I awoke maybe 18 hours later with what felt like a hang over...head ache, nausea, malaise.

Not something I would ever want to repeat.

Games that rely on reflexes are more for people who have attention deficit disorder.  A game that requires tactics and strategy is deeper and ultimately more rewarding.  Atleast for me.

There seems to be strategy involved in building your skill deck and in using this deck to define your character's role.

You can develop different decks for different situations, hence the Skill, strategy and thought inherent in the combat system.

But yes, it is not a click and forget combat system, apparently, and while many will welcome the more active style of combat some will not.

Yes, it looks to be a blend of both, which is what intrigues me about this game.  And the graphics too.  I will definitely try this game out when we get a NA launch :)

What are your views on PvP?

I don't like PvP combat.
I think it is the best part about MMORPG's.
I don't care either way.
