| Biography | The ultimate mmorpg would simulate real life in a fantasy world*. Milking cows, pubs, darts and cards games at the pubs so you can gamble. Skills...cooking included. Diplomacy skill points that change depending on whether or not other real players like you or not (and in game missions). A place to buff up your character--climbing ropes or lifting weights. The idea that your character wont get too buff...I mean give a wimp a sword, he should be able to take out a big guy with a hammer. Magic. Thievery. Nonformal places that you can substitute for a chatroom. Where the things people say in the room actually appear in a chat box. Rare items. Stuff like that. Tons of random stuff. |

ahhh, here is the site I like:
www.burningcross.net/crusades/jesus-in-vedas.html
hehe, this site is trying to prove he wasnt at the himalayas.. the site is burningcross.com afterall.
Anyways, the site has to mention that someone similar to Jesus was mentioned in the Vedas...
and if you google vedas and jesus you can get other similar sites, some that aren't biased by christians. like this one maybe: vedicearth.com/veda-christian.php or www.lebensplan.com/puranas/jesus.html (I'm not gonna go through the whole site right now)
You can imagine that there would be lots of skepticism about Jesus visiting the Himalayas. The skeptics themselves should accept that the Bible could have been falsified just as much as the Puranas

It's not worthless. It was a stand to show I do not, and will never, support Obama.
I said if you had voted independent it would have been worthless.

I voted Republican once - and that was this last election. Was it in support of McCain? Nope, sure wasn't. I was casting a vote against Obama.
I am not some mindless drone that simply votes for their party they are affiliated with. If I see a candidate I like, whatever the party, I will vote for that candidate; however, Democrats vote for Democrats, Republicans vote for Republicans. We are Independent because we hold no party "loyalty".
But isn't it mindless to not support one of the only 2 candidates that would make it into office. I mean, you might as well not vote at all if you are going to vote independent. Sure you might have your moral highground for voting that way but action speaks bigger than words and voting independent is not really taking any active choice in who will actually become president at all.

Also DeclareDemer, you have been wonderful in this thread. I don't think logic is a soapbox, so keep on firing away. At least it's great to have 2 sides of an issue on a forum where the majority of posters are anti-obama. Nonetheless, I think that you would be better off posting in a more sophisticated political forum in general
But hey, we both must like yelling at a wall, or just like the people here enough to keep posting in all of the tripe of these political threads that keep reappearing here on Off-Topic Discussion.
(DeclareDemer - also I originally thought you were just cutting and pasting because your posts have always been well organized with color and centering and whatnot... it turns out that you are writing them.. I give you props for that)
