| Biography | One of a few players who thinks Runescape is a good game. Game name: Hi1234567209 and Tuss36 |
| Quote | I play to have fun, not to win or be the best. |
Here I will explain what makes me different from just about eveybody else on these forums in terms of why I don't dislike the game. This is for clarification for anyone that wonders why I still play the game:
PvP
I don't like PvP. Simple as that. I don't like being killed by other players. I don't like them taking my stuff. I don't like the players that lure in noobs just to have some cruel fun. I don't care if it was zoned by level or whatever: I never stepped foot in th wilderness. At least, not until they got rid of it. Then I could go in and explore to my hearts content whithout worring about some high-level camper waiting to kill me and take my stuff.
I prefer Clan Wars to be more fun, although it's really spammy in the lobby area. I admit that Bounty Hunter sucks, but that's because of the mismatched levels. And the item loss. I like my items. I'm not going to let someone else have them whithout paying for them. I don't like Fist of Guthix either, also because of the mismatched levels. Duel arena's cool if you just want to fight one guy. You can choose if you want to wager anything and set your own rules, which is neat.
Trading Limits/Grand Exchange
I wasn't afected much with the trading update. Didn't trade much in the first place. Even now I hardly see a trade window, which is okay by me. If I need something, I'll go through the work of getting it myself, rather than asking others to trade something for it. It'd still be nice if someone just randomly came up to me and gave me a mil for free, but that probably wouldn't happe to me, with or without the limit. They should've made it with more round numbers (like 5) for it, rather than 3s. Getting off topic.
The Grand exchange is a good update in my eyes. A one-stop, everything-for-sale shop is just what some people need after they lose all their stuff in Bounty Hunter. The only bad side of this is that some players will come to rely on this to get all their stuff. "No use for smithing, I'll just buy my armor." "No need for fishing, I get my sushi on the GE." But at least you don't have to go running around, trying to find soeone to sell your stuff too.
Short version: I don't really care about the trading limits, but I love the GE.
Customer service
I have little to say about this topic. I don't have any "black marks", as you call them, and I don't know anybody who's been muted/banned for not breaking a rule. My opinion here means very little.
Community
I am not a social person. I do not have many friends on Runescape, and they're still playing it. I can't say if it's a good or bad community because I haven't played many MMORPGs to compare it with. I don't interact much with other people unless they talk to me first, and even then it isn't more than a few sentences. Again, not one to ask an opinion about.
Skills
I like the skills. A wide variety of skills with many different uses and aplications should be in more games than just this one. The wide area where you can actually practice and train the skills is good too. On your way to the barbarian village to craft and fire a bowl (crafting) that you'll use for the soup you're going to make (cooking) you cut down a tree (woodcutting) for logs to make a fire (firemaking) to cook the soup later. While your at the village, you mine some coal (mining) to sell at the GE. 5 skills used in a short trip from varrock to barbarian village. How many other games have something like THAT?
Final note
You can easily tell I'm a naive idiot to actually think these things about Runescape. That may be true, but I'll be the most persistent, annoying, naive idiot on these forums!!! Think what you will of my opinions, and I'll think what I will of yours, but hear this: I will always defend Runescape. Even if I stop playing it because I'm too busy, I'll still defend it. I'd list what would make me stop defending it, but that's for another post.
(I also put this in the Runescape forum. If you'd rather make a post than a comment about it, go there.)
This is one of those questions that rise up in my mind whenever I come here:
Are you sure the players are as young as you say they are? Did you ask them or what? How can you be so sure?
Thanks to anyone who takes time to answer my question.
I think you've faced what most other POES have come across. I might make a blog post of what it is, but I won't say it here.
Okay, to get in the last post that's actually on-topic, we will be called the Anti-POES. If you have a problem with it, tough cookies.
Dude, someone made a thread about this before you. Next time check.
THANK
YOU!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the spam, but I'm just so happy that they're bringing PVP back. Not because I like PKing other players, just that now everyone on these forums will SHUT UP about it!!! I'm probably happier than everyone else here! This is the best news I've ever heard!!!
Do you Role Play?
