  • Haha wow, I noticed something terribly incongruent as well. PlaneShift is rated 8.36 instead of 6.79. For an open alpha, that puts it above every single released game except Warhammer Online. Also Eternal Lands is rated higher than Regnum now. Behold:

  • Hello everyone, I return to this thread to see if anyone has responded to my previous post yet! I realize I have to make a public apology to the Peragro Tempus development team for having to do a double-post on a forum, but I promise you guys this double-post is worth it! Or least the bottom half of this post is, because I think the top half is really boring. As expected, I didn't think anyone would respond to my previous post on this thread, but now it's time to see how they respond on their IRC channel!

    Alas, here it is! Peragro Tempus has responded to my previous post by saying they are not going to respond to my previous post! I have to commend CyaNox for finally graduating from adolescence and realizing what the best strategy to play against the usual troll is! Oh, boy imagine what would've happened if only they started not responding to me a little sooner! If this was last week, they would've not responded by not banning me like in normal MMOs! Especially over a single four-sentence post on MMORPG.com! Then again Peragro Tempus is not a normal MMO because ban isn't even implemented.

    But then Induane decided to not respond to me by shoving this loving email up my inbox:

    This is followed by twenty or so paragraphs about things I already know about, such as the history of PlaneShift according to Induane, and about how much these Peragro Tempus developers think I actually disagree with this Mnemonic1 guy. First off, I know Mnemonic1 exaggerates here and there but I don't believe I've ever posted that I actually disagreed with him. If I did, it was an awfully long time ago. Second, my issue here is not with what he says. My issue is that this guy has been going on and on and on about it for over a year now. I already gave enough reason to believe Mnemonic1 and Kordo are the same person. Third, I needed a good way to convince people that he was not a Peragro Tempus developer, which is why I made that four-sentence post in the first place that you guys keep getting all so riled up about.

    Enough that I want to post the entire email, I don't really want anyone to suffer like I had to by reading the entire thing. But wait, guys! There is this one particular paragraph here which really caught my attention!

    Haha, wow! These Peragro Tempus developers have to be the most hypocritical bastards ever in the history of MMORPG development! You see, it's one thing for an MMORPG's development team to flip out over a single four-sentence post on MMORPG.com and ban someone over it, but it's another thing for that very same dev team to lure that very same person into another channel just so they can ban him again! Way to go Peragro Tempus for inviting me into an IRC channel and then subsequently banning me from it!

    I've made it clear many times that my enemy here has always been persistent rudeness, not rudeness. The word persistent is the keyword here; I don't ever recall being persistently rude to your development team prior to CyaNox's post on this thread. Also I made it clear that during the time I did not intend to be persistently rude to you guys and instead go off and accuse the persistently rude Mnemonic1/Kordo of being someone like BlindOracle from the Battle for Wesnoth.

    But then I went off and made a single four-sentence post on this thread accusing him of being one of you guys. Then I said to myself, Holy Peragro Tempus Batman! If the only thing it takes to get banned from your IRC channel is a single four-sentence post on MMORPG.com, then I wonder what Peragro Tempus-the-MMO will be like!

    I'm not annoyed because I am banned from your IRC channel, I'm annoyed because the Peragro Tempus development team are seriously coming off as a bunch of pussies. Hah wow, cry me a river of tears over a single post on this very thread; guys, Karyuu put up with much worse than this! Heck, I didn't even have to be persistently rude to you guys, and you people think I deserve my own shrine on /mode #peragro +b just like you gave God and Jesus! Behold:

The irony about it is that it wasn't me, but it was you Peragro Tempus developers who started being persistently rude! Even more ironic that you guys did the whole god complex thing and ended up giving me a shrine anyways. You see, I used to think that both PlaneShift and Peragro Tempus needed to exist to satisfy both content licensing camps. But if I'm being persistently rude to the Peragro Tempus development team like I am now on this thread, then that means I'm not convinced that the project should even exist in the first place. I don't like projects that just happen to be promoting persistent rudeness! Seriously, you Peragro Tempus developers are worse than you think Talad is.

    I was told the only way I could get my ban lifted was to publicly apologize to you people and to hope you forgive and forget this non-persistent incident. In other words: You want me to give more ammo to this Mnemonic1 guy which is not ever gonna happen, and wait for you silly Peragro Tempus developers to grow up which will most likely not ever happen either.

    Seriously though, you're behaving like a 12-year-old. If I was to present tomorrow and you were there, then I would probably have you kicked out of the room if you were to behave like you are now. It is just a courtesy to the speaker; asking questions is fine but being rude to the speaker is not.
