    GOA might be running WAR into the ground atm here in the EU!

    But Mythic seems to be doing pretty good in the US. So in the worst case WAR dies out in Europe early next year, but keeps nicely going in US!

    Yeah it seems that Mythic have washed their hands of WAR in the EU and are allowing GOA to do as they please, ie ruin the game, we all know that with out players you cant do PVP, WAR is a PVP game and GOA had promised to maintain the same level of service for the EU as Mythic do for the US.
     

    But have more or less failed inan epic way, free server transfers are a month late already and people are leaving the game every day out of frustration.

     

    It is really annoying, as you wait so long for a dcent game in this genre and then it gets ruined by bad management  by a third party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello all,

    I would like to give you an update to the status of character transfers.

    By now it is obvious that we have missed our "middle of the week" deadline for offering you the Free Character transfers. We have run into some issues with characters using special characters in their names and our development team is working hard to solve this issue by tomorrow.

    Based on feedback we received we have added some destination servers to some of the servers that were already listed for character transfer.
    Ellyrion - added Burlok as a destination server (previously only had Alarielle as destination)

    Makaisson - added Alarielle as a destination server (previously only had Burlok as destination)

    You will no doubt notice that we have not yet added new origin servers to the list meaning servers that had no character transfer option on our last list will still not have this option. But rest assured that we will continue to monitor the server populations and your feedback. The upcoming character transfers are just the first phase and in upcoming phases we will review the options for character transfers on a case by case basis.

    Let me make one thing clear from the contract:

    GOA's level and quality of support must equal or exceed Mythic support

    If they don't do that, the deal is off. Now, does that clear things up a bit?

    Also, for those that are saying that GOA failed to bring lots of customers to the game, that is total nonsense. At its peak, DAoC subscribers in Europe dwarfed all the competition. Our numbers there (which at the time was a far less robust market than it is today) were better than we expected them to be. If GOA had handled Italy and other territories from the beginning, our numbers would have been even higher.

    Again, I'm not saying that GOA was perfect, they weren't, Mythic wasn't perfect either. We both have learned a lot over the last 5 years and we expect to learn even more over the next two. We have contract language that assures that GOA's support and effort will not only be even better than last time but that it will have to be the equal or better than Mythic's support. If that isn't good enough for those that are complaining or worrying, than there is nothing more I or anyone can say that will change your mind. And when that happens, I will stop talking about it because it is pointless.

    Amazing, Goa has failed to keep a better or similar level of service already, they are approx one month behind on server transfers!

  • Dear GOA,

    I would like to step forward and take up our server management issues with you that we are currently facing in Europe.

    I have already posted various threads regarding this, as well as filling out the Feed Back form on the WAR EU website but unfortunately have had no response whatsoever.

    I won’t go into how important it is to keep you customers happy and informed especially if these customers are paying a regular subscription charge.
    However many players on the EU servers are currently anxiously awaiting free server transfers which were promised yesterday Wednesday October 19th 2008, this did not occur and we are left with no official explanation.

    Even the number of destination servers has not been thought out properly yet, as it stands there is only one destination server for ORvR and RP servers. Whereas there should be at least two to ensure that no character is made redundant and left on an empty server due to of Realm conflicts.

    To compound our frustration of being stuck on empty servers we are left not being able to enjoy the new content in the Heavy Metal live event and missing the first daily task which consists of participating in a scenario. The impact of this means that we cannot go on to unlock the two new classes early effectively excluding us from this content.

    Many customers would be happy with just a constant update as to what is happening, we can understand your constraints and since your community managers do communicate with the paying customer on various forums this is far from beyond your means.

    We were promised that we would receive the same level of service as the US players, whom have received their free transfers almost a month ago now. And are currently enjoying the new Live event without issue.

    Unfortunately this is not the case, as you must agree, although these issues can be deemed as teething problems, lack of information and lack of urgency in the free transfer matter is reflecting badly on you and Mythic. Resulting in many a disgruntled player, and a disgruntled MMO player has a long memory, ask SOE.

    All we are asking for is what is already available to the US market that bought the same game as us and are paying the same sub as us.

    To put this in some sort of perspective for you, from a customers point of view, a lot of the empty servers have been so for over a month, WAR was released around the 20th of September in Europe, most servers took a hit after the first free month, so since the 20th of October a lot of the server have been quite empty, it is the 20th of November, a further month on.
    Players on these servers have paid a full month subscription but have not enjoyed the game you designed for them.

    Please communicate with us, please arrange server transfers to stop players leaving and please grant us the same level of service as the US players.
