| Quote | UO made people nervous, now it just makes them dress funny. |
I quit my last MMORPG because it was World of Warcraft.
So the fanboys are happy with their new shineys? Item based games are crap. Well, unless you can get an elite epic motorcycle with a cool side car for running over angry penguins. Raaaaaaaaaaad!!!
Post #34 made my brain hurt. ![]()
As my college roomate said in 1998 when he introduced me to UO: "You won't find the value of your entertainment dollar stretched nearly as far by any other activity. And for $15 a month, I spend hours and hours having a ton of fun and staying out of trouble." That's a logical premise that's hard to beat. But then again, he was a D&D nerd and UO was an exceedingly worthy game at that time. Except for DAOC (pre-TOA), I wouldn't play any of the other games you mentioned if they paid me!
That reminds me of levels 1-70 on every character I made playing WoW for 3 years. Thanks for the kick in the crotch. Wish this came out in 2004. Could have saved me some time.
