    • Well, Then, Saga of Ryzom is Free
    • Well you are right i have not played many F2P games i have played hundreds !I have seen probably EVERY single game mechanic out there.I have seen more than i need to see from hundreds of games to be able to judge one from the other.

Good try anyhow,no biggie your opinion...my opinion ,that is all they are opinions. No idea why you even mentioned graphics ,they are NOT above F2P games i could mention ONE developer alone that has 3 games ALL equally, sometimes even BETTER than Ryzom[ever hear of AERIA GAMES?].Anyhow i already stated there graphics had nothing to do with me rating the game average, but since you mentioned it,there graphics do fall in the average realm.

      The Saga of Ryzom
    • If Darkfall is Vaporware it's in good company.
    • Ummm, the wikpedia site says approx 21 emplyees?wonder how they got that number? You notice it has always been the 5 guys ,yet they state they grabbed all 5 from RAZORWAX?who grabbed them?it is always the same 5 names forever listed.

Aventurine has NEVER put anything out.I find a game like this "Darkfall" to be a real tough game to take on as a first timer. There has been a few other developers like this in the past, however they admitted they needed to spend time developing there engine AND supporting it ,so they could pay the bills and make a living. They basically stated there game was second fiddle when comes to making a living.I don't get this same feeling from these guys as 7-8 years is FAR too long for a company to just do NOTHING,how on earth could you pay the bills?

I am guessing that Darkfall was RAZORWAX's game?seems that way,if so how capable are the 5 guys they got from the original line up?

I'll tell you this, there is some inkling of a program out there with the name DARKFALL on it,however it is incomplete and very much up in the air.I would suggest that NOBODY gets too much hype out of this game or holds there panties in a knot ,this game will be VERY average when and if it ever comes out.

I was mis informed on this game by the media.I thought they just got some rich greeks to back them up and are now in the works to publish this game. The fact is that they joined up with these greeks years ago, pretty much from the time they inherited the game,so it really is a crap shoot as to weather this game comes out with any kind of professionalism. My belief is they have ONLY spent years trying to get a workable version of the game,i highly doubt they added anything to the orginal program, other than filling in the missing pieces to create a working game. Some people will be VERY dissapointed.

    • Wizard 101: Wizard 101 Review
    • I have to offer my two cents, just because i tried the game as i try just about every game that comes out.

The review was pretty much 99% accurate so i guess i can't add too much more.

The game and it's design was done quite well especially for the age group it was dedicated to.I would say it maybe the best game out here for a parent to join there kids in a game.It is not difficult to learn but offers a little diversity in how you build your decks.

Personally i think that as good as the game is ,it could easily be better with a little bit of work.I realize these guys are busy trying to get the next city/world design up and running for the players but there is still a lot that could be done with the existing game.

I offered SEVERAL suggestions as to witch a few were liked but of course many people found some excuse to not like my idea.I looked at every angle and aspect before offering my ideas so,even after i heard the arguements ,i don't buy them.

Just one area and my fave of course is COMBAT.Although the age group is on the lower end,you would be surprised at how smart some young people are,i have often found some young kids to be a lot brighter than some older people. In realizing this ,i think they could make the game a little more challenging or even offer areas of difficulty as they sort of tried to do with there instances that really don't resemble instances.

The quests also need to be a lot more appealing ,i think even the young kids get bored of them and just spending hours running around for nothing ,looking for someone or something.

However on a whole and as the game stands it does show some decent effort and should be reconized as a very good kids game.

    • Idea for death penalty
    • Permanent death would NEVER work. The exact same reasons you wouldn't like dying in real life apply to gaming as well.

Other than that ,WOW's system is horrible and VERY boring. There game is nothing more than the core apsects of every other game. You want that same boring quest line?then do nothing but level up?then what other options?RAID for gear? all very cheap programming and very boring game play.

I was sort of mistaken when i said perma death would never work,i meant it won't work if you die at any given time forever. If there was perma death through natural causes such as AGING ,then i think there would be a market for such a game.

    • New feature coming to FFXI next month...
    • Ya Square are quite the innovators on ideas in there game. The problem for myself is that i just can't get the fervor to play this game again and i still have several accounts paid for lol. That is the price a game pays for being a large timer sink,it causes burn out.I will probably cancel my subs before the end of this month, that way i won't even think about it anymore.

I wish Square would just give it up and bring out a modernized, sparkly new version of the same type of game.

They are using up so many unique ideas, there will be nothing left for them to implement in a new game.

I guess they are making so much money off  this game still,it wouldn't be economical to build a new game since the cost would offset there profit for several years.Funny game ,i do miss it but at the same time i only miss it because there is not one good game out there right now to make me walk away for good.
