    • A month of Searching, and still havent found a Good PK MMORPG
    • Shadowbane might be the game your looking for, however, be warned, there is a HUGE learning curve with shadowbane.  After you get over the ass backward controlls, youll most likely be fodder untill your second or third character, a bit much imo for a game with great pvp.

As far as darkfall goes, right now its nothing but hype, a few vids, and whatever the developer decides to say.  Word is that they are in open beta, but no one knows of anyone who is actually in it and there still is an element of "does this game actually exist" surrounding all the secrecy and near decade development time.

If your looking for f2p then shadowbane might be your only choice.  All the newer asian f2p games offer the best advantages for people who shell out big $ and it really wrecks pvp, unless you want to may way more than you would have for a p2p.  Also most of these games offer a completely unrealistic grind to endgame.  Anyway most of the f2p games dont really focus on pvp, except shadowbane.

So mabey your looking for a FPS instead, because right now the wow model of pve grind to endgame, followed by pvp of some type is the standard of the industry.

Hopefully darkfall turns out to be halfway decent and goes live in the next year, mabey that game will offer some good pvp, because if darkfall fails or doesnt go live soon, look forward to about 40 asian grinders using the wow template before the next decent pvp mmo comes out.

    • WAR players, lets move to AoC!
    • The funny thing about this thread is that there is so much content in war, its sickening, you would need, at a minumum, at least 6 characters to even touch all of it.  This lack of content argument was put to rest, i thought, a week after the game went live.  As far as endgame content, goes, theres still a majority of the comunity who is taking their taime and enjoying all of the content that some people seem to scenario grind right past.  Of course, anygame could use more endgame content.  It seems to me, in game at least, that the majority of bored players are the people who played war 100 hours a week since release, and now find themselves burned out.

I also see a decent amount of people who seem bored at the fact that they cant go into any RvR situation and be the solo uber pvp pimp, i can imagine the fustration with finding friends and working together, instead of gearing up and going in and owning everyone by yourself, although i find that the best part of war..finding friends and working as a team in RvR.....diffrent tastes

If your really THAT bored with the war endage content, roll a new character, focus on PvE, see how much content there is, by the time you bore of all the content hopefully the endgame content will be packed, as the casuals get up there.  If al else fails, perhaps you might enjoy a PvE mmo over the RvR focus of war, give vanguard or aoc a try, those are more pve orientated games.

    • WAR is to repetitive.
    • All games are repeatative if you play them too much.

At least you have all the PVE options of things to do as well as scenarios and open field RvR, lets not forget PQ's.

its more than say, having only the option of PvE grinding untill endgame.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • installed and uninstalled
    • i dont get the Op's problem regarding the starting area....

You miss the scenarios, or missions?   They are still there, you can do them.

Perhaps you didnt realize that the starter area is optional, and that you can leave at anytime, given you get the key out from talking to an npc.

If you hate the starter area you can leave at level 1, do a few misssions in rome or athens or w/e then start on the subway if you want.

Also most of the lag is due to the fact that this game is so old that it barely even uses your gfx card, hopefully one day they actually get that new engin implimented, if it ever happens that is.

      Anarchy Online
    • I am looking forward to a MMO with no levels.
    • So you guys are sick and tired of grinding levels or grinding skills, all together sick of the mmo "progression" found in all mmorpgs.

I have a suggestion and it fixes all of your woes...

Go play a FPS, it has everything you want, solid pvp with no progression to get to the good stuff.

Sometimes i think people are so confused with what type of game they are playing and what type of game they want to play.  If you dont like the slow progression then dont play the genere of games that follows this model. I really think that a majority of this "sandbox" crowd are really just looking for a FPS with mmorpg classes and characters.  So yeah, remove levels and character progression and all you get is a FPS with mmorpg classes.
