Well because you are sitting in the middle of Altdorf, and all you do all day is scenarios, like in halo 3 or Call of Duty 4, you queue up a game in scenarios and play that one, and you do it over and over and over again. And grind levels like mad. And then yeah, the MMORPG part, the crafting and the open world RvR with your guild and stuff. But all in all, the main grind is like halo 3 queuing up scenarios all day long.

IT'S FUN!!! But there's something wrong with this game, I just can't figure out what it is.

      Can you guys elaborate?

What makes an MMO really a classic MMO is very thin in WAR. This is what is missing. Basically, a world.

Funny last time I logged on last night there was tons of world..tons of places to go..NPC"s moving about the world as if they live in it.  They patrol, they toss themselves in mud, they wander around the city crying, being sick, getting chased by guards.  The city's are a world to themselves infact..hell in The Inevitable city there's an arena full of gladiators kicking ass and taking names and they will attack you if you go to close.  In Altdorf witch hunters are constantly harrassing suspected citizens, assasins are lurking by the docks (got chased).

Honestly you really should learn to shut up Altairzq

    • 1.  You can't Queue into a Scenario from the city...if your sitting in the city doing scenarios why don't you go to where your party member is and do something else?

      2. Its your choice to do Scenarios..some people grind scenarios some people open rvr and some people pve...thsoe that are smart doing a bit of everything.

      3. Did I mention that was your choice to play that way so its your own fault?  Some people are so used to being held by the hand and lead everywhere but a game that gives you a choice to be lead, to do whatever you want, or just grind seems to confuse the masses.  Its entertaining to say the least.  WAR is built as progression..they progress you train you prepare you with each Tier for thel ast Tier.  Tier 1 gives you the basics for objective points, lairs, pq's etc Tier 2 gives you the basics, keeps, and a starter dungeon.  Tier 3 gives you basics, more keeps, bigger rvr lakes, and the start of the public dungeons.   Tier 4 gives you basics, Fortresses, HUGE RvR lakes, public dungeons, and a chance to City Siege if you can use all you've learned and lock down 2 fortresses and meet several other realm requirements.    All of this helps to raise your city up or down and give you access to even more dungeons, pq's, items, guild stuf and more.  People seem lost on the concept that the world might actually be affected.

      4.  There's no reason to grind levels ...rushing to End Game nets you nothing infact it puts you pretty far behind since you've not participated in any of the realm progression with the way your playing.

      5.  try diong something other than sitting on your ass in the city and actually go out and explore.  I've already made multiple tome unlocks and netted some pretty nice Gear set peices from doing something all sorts of things.

Actually this isn't true they did not run out of money.  Mythic bragged over and over again they were going to make their MMO in three years and no more than that, WoTLK was just a deciding factor on how much longer they could hold off.  They wanted to prove its possible to make an MMO game within three years instead of the 5 to 6 years that alto of games including AoC and WoW had.

This is how they sold themselves to EA.   Guess what? They did it...they got the game up and running in 3 years in impressive condition.  Yes there are bugs but what game has ever launched without them?  Yes sometimes theres' stability issues but all games even games years old have these issues.  It happens.

Most MMO's launch with missing content and no end game, medocre crappy classes etc.  Mythic has no missing content contrary to belief that taking out cities is missing content its really not..everything you need is there.  there are no holes in the game where your stuck without enough to do.  end game is also present.

Mythic didn't run out of money...for pete's sake their part of EA a multi million maybe even billion dollar world company...they were hardly straped for cash.

I work in the day and don't have a lot of time to play on the P.C during the week, this is why AoC has not got boring for me and since the pvp patch wear you can get rewards from pvp the game looks to be shaping up.

So the main question i want to ask for all the people playing Warhammer at the moment will you still be playing WAR at Christmas time ?

Probaly yes, but... I am not big into the fact its a very soloable game. I like group based games, so I guess thats why Final Fantasy XI still ranks my #1 game. Warhammer is definatly worth buying tho.

You amuse me I watch your posts Coyoteturkey...you really should try the Group Features int he game doing the standard cheap PvE quests and some scenarios is like only a quarter of the experience.

People tend to forget, omit, or not realize that the game has a ton of different ways you can play the game...if you dont want to group you don't have too and you can do a good bit of the content (it does take longer by yourself and PQ's can't be fully enjoyed since there are some that are down right impossible to solo or do with a group smaller than 12 people dont let people fool you there are PQ's out there that are different than the Kill X, find X kill boss ).

IF you want to group you can and you get to see pretty much all the content.  Some things like Seiging, etc just can't not be enjoyed alone and their public Group feature makes it pretty easy to find people to play with.  Granted alot of noobs and elitist guilds neglect it but *shrug* thats their own fault.

    • Two simple changes Mythic needs to make URGENTLY!
    • There's a general chat channel for every area of a game....having an entire zone global chat how ever would suck major ass.  Its quiet but then most of the talkign is giong on in teamspeak, vent, group chat, guild chat, warband chat.    This is an MMORPG game I really don't want to hear more crybaby whining then I already do from stupid noobs to incompetent to figure out how to use the In Game User Manual so their questions on how to do things and where to go are already answered.

I don't like PvP combat.
I think it is the best part about MMORPG's.
I don't care either way.
