    • end of open beta..
    •  1 weekend is enough for an Open Beta. It's just a little worrying that they didn't set a date for their open beta to start!

    •  And yet another one... Guild Wars is in some ways even more massive that any other MMO. Because of they ground-breaking server technology. In how many games can 4.5 million players communicate, without changing servers? So the community can be way more massive, just make some friends, and you can have endless discussion. Even if it is instaned. Because it is istanced you have decent quests (one of the only games with decent quests IMHO). Nobody steals your loot, nobody steals your kills, etc.

+ the community is one of the best things about a MMORPG. You can communicate with 4.5 million people, that makes the gameplay pretty massive. ;)

    • the graphics of DFO are good people. The running animations aren't.
    • How to; Create a nice environment.
Put a lot of work in it! DF has been worked on for 7 years, they've had plenty of time to make it beautiful, even with dated models. Every single detail just looks right. Just look at the grass/flowers, it's probably one of the first MMO's where I actually seen them doing it right. Guild wars came close, but didn't use it that much to keep the performance high. Lotro tried it, and failed at it. But it looks like Darkfall really nailed it. The trees look a bit off though, but they might've changed that already.

As for the player models and animations, Guild Wars is still my favourite in that. The player models look awesome, and after 4 years, they're still my favourite. Just the fact that there aren't that many glowy items around gives the characters a good feel. And if you're able to get no-lifers horny by just running around like a naked female characters, the character models must look realistic... :D

What are your views on PvP?

I don't like PvP combat.
I think it is the best part about MMORPG's.
I don't care either way.
