• • New Player needs some advice on direction

  • Certificates is a new feature that will be deployed after todays patch. I don't know much about it myself. When the server comes back up, it will be more obvious what it's about.

    They seem to be aimed at new players. A specialist tool of some sort, for you as an example. I don't know if it's skill based or earned.

  • A Prorator Transport ship can be made to carry 10,000 M3 of Cargo without insane, expensive rigs. It can fleet with a Black Ops and a Covert Ops  and move through a bridge by getting beside the Black Ops, right clicking the covert Ops and selecting Jump to player.

    The Black Ops pilot needs to have a Jump Portal Generator on and the Covert need to have a Cyno field generator on. Both are covert and won't show up in local,, like the non covert kind.

    Jump Drive Callibration 4 is required just to use a black Ops. Jump Drive Cal 5 is a essential if you want to use it for this traffic. JD Cal 5 will give you 5 LY range. That can get you from high sec to low sec pretty much anywhere. Once in low sec, LYs between systems is much lower. You can jump 4 systems, maybe more with a Black Ops and a Transport.

    Because my main has Black Ops 5 and 2 of my alts have Cyno 5, this is one of the main features for me. It puts me in a position to move product through very dangerous space.

    I think a few have said this. I leave to come back. It's usually because I get nailed in to a corner and can't move forward on something.

    Buy ISK online? No. They all spam noob channels, they all spam local. They can all go to hell. GTCs work fine.
    Ghost training? It will take alot of alt subs from Eve. The know that at CCP. They hate it but they know it. It's thier problem, not mine. If I decide to cancel an account, ghost training won't make any difference one way or another.

  • I'm a 4 year Vet to EvE. I have no immediate plans of leaving, but.

    The OP is right. Stay away if you expect a sterile EvE. We don't need more carebears in Eve. Of course give the trial a go.

    In a simple sentence? You can't beat Eve. I know 2 people in EvE that have a Legacy though. Chriba and Aralis. Neither got thier legacy by being an asshole, by being a Pirate. Eve needs players, they don't need sheep.

    So to anyone who plays games like the OP. Have fun, enjoy the games you play but GTFO of EvE. We don't want you.
